Using a PLS-54C Dragunov ...

Using a PLS-54C Dragunov and Varget powder. Once sighted in have shot several 4 in groups at 378 yds. My friend down the road has also shot these groups. We are Impressed with this round, and it will be the only round I will use in this Rifle.

Aside from the price, ...

Aside from the price, these are just really awesome bullets. I'm shooting 1.5" ten-shot groups at 100yds with N150. Definitely going to buy again, just wish the price was a little better.

Original bullet for the ...

Original bullet for the M39 Finn. I've tried all the Sierra Match Kings, and the D166 outperforms them all in my M39. Sensitive to OAL, but at 3.030", I had my best ever group: 4 shots in .45" at 100 yds, using 42 gr IMR 4064.

Awesome bullets... ...

Awesome bullets... there's not much else to say. I wrote to Lapua asking for assistance with reloading recipes and was told that using the D166 bullet (the projectile for which the M39 was originally designed), Lapua 7.62x53R (notice it's not 54R!) brass, and the VihtaVuori N140 powder would result in a load that was as close to the original WW2 Finn catridge as possible.Using these D166 bullets, the Lapua 53R brass, WLR primers, and the N140 powder gave me a nice 1 1/4" 5-shot group at 100 yards through my unissued 1944 VKT M39. I've used these handloads in several other Finns (other M39s, M28s, M28/30, M27s, M91/30s, M91s) with excellent results, though I've only shot the VKT on paper. But I keep hitting everything I'm aiming at, so I'd say it's all good.

Bought these bullets ...

Bought these bullets because the Lapua 200g 308 subsonics where out-of-stock. They all measured 0.3095, so I ran them through a Lee 0.308 sizing die with a custom base punch to retain the rebated boat-tail. After all that, they shoot great in my 300-221(300 Whisper wanna-be).
