The Bianchi 101 Foldaway outside the waistband holster is an excellent rendition of the classic beltslide holster design. The Bianchi 101 Foldaway features a minimalist design that can accomodate several different pistols with a single holster. Also, the holster folds flat to the belt when not being used. Because of its design, the 101 Foldaway holds the gun as close to the body as possible without being an inside the waistband holster.

It is what it is! At ...

It is what it is! At first I was very disappointed. It is just a single flap of leather. I was wondering where the other half was. Then I tried it out and was even more disappointed because it took an extreme amount of effort to draw from. After several days of oiling and working with the leather, it has gotten much better. I did have to remove some leather where the trigger guard made contact. This was due to the fact that my trigger guard is checkered, and caused way too much friction against the leather, and combined with the very tight fit, made it hard to draw from. Now it is several days later, the draw has become much easier, and the holster still offers good retention. So far it seems to be well made and durable, and it is very comfortable to wear. This is not the best holster I own, but it is not the worst either. It is a good buy in my opinion. It will take quite a bit of breaking in though.

Take it for what it is. ...

Take it for what it is. Not a cure all magical holster but does simply hold a gun. Found it to have good and so-so features.Good:Holds the gun snug, will not fall out. Very thin and does fold flat when empty. Great for running around town and leaving the gun in the car when you can't take it in places, holster is on and flat but ready to reholster when you get back to the car without having to take the holster on and off. Can be a true ambi holster, great to use as backup gun holster.The not so good:No made in the USA.Does not work with double layer gun belts. Have to use thin belt so it doesn't support a heavy 1911 well. Did bind on my belt preventing it to be drawn so pick a belt and slide without serations that will work.It might work better with the blocky polymer guns with smooth flat sides. But for the price it was well worth having a leather ambi backup holster so still happy with it but not my primary holster.
