Otis All Caliber Round Woven Patches are 100% cotton and each patch can be used up to 6 times, offering 6 new clean surfaces. The all-caliber cleaning patches clean all firearms from .25 Caliber to 12/10 gauge. These panoply patches are designed to provide a better scrub on large calibers, specifically for rifles .30 caliber and up, handguns 9mm and up, and all shotguns. These patches are slotted for use with the Otis cleaning system.

These work well for getting the bore clean, but the "all caliber" claim is slightly exaggerated. These are very difficult to make work in a .22 (or .223) caliber barrel, with the patch often coming off the tip and a lot of the patch wasted. (If the patch comes off, you will need a conventional cleaning rod to knock it out.) The smaller size is much better for .22s but much harder to find. I also only get 2, maybe at best 3 uses out of each patch, although I'm perfectly happy with that.

I like them, but like others said, don't expect to get as many uses out of a patch as the manufacturer states. I usually can get 2 or 3 uses from a patch and then it is too dirty to continue using. Nice patch and it works well with their cleaning kit if you have that.

I used these patches in my 223 cal AR 15 using a stiff rod and slotted tip per the instructions. The patch was way too big, so I had to cut them down. They should be fine for my 30 caliber guns, but I wanted them for the 223's break in cleaning.

I like these patches. It is really nice that they can be used multiple times per patch. My main complaint about these is that they are loosely woven and leave the barrel, littered with little threads of cotton.

I've got the military cleaning kit. What can I say? It's better than the old GI kit and takes up less room. For a field kit it's OK, but it will never replace a bench cleaning. CLP is not adequate to clean a rifle. About the only benefit to the thing is that you can replace the patches. They sure don't fit the bore all that tightly. You'd probably be better off getting 3-4 bore snakes to keep in your field kit and wash them at the end of the trip or training.Bottom line: the Otis kit is better than nothing, and better than the old GI kit. Besides that, just about anything out there is better.

The patches are top material, the system ( Otis ) is just fine. But that with 6 surfaces is BS!! Max 2 uses per side on dirty guns, one use per side if gun gets cleaner. One use per side for shotguns.

This is a great innovation and works very well but like all the other users that rated this technology said, they make bold claims about the amounts of use from a single patch, as well as the all caliber claim. Two to three uses a patch are the norm for me and four is the max. However, instead of having the patches fall off in a .223, I can't get them down using the 3" patches. I would not recommend using the large patches on the smalller calibers. Other than that, it works great.

I was skeptical about the one size fits all patch, but this is a great innovation. I used these patches with the Otis Tactical Cleaning System, pulled by a vinyl covered cable from chamber to muzzle. I cleaned a 10mm Glock pistol, a .223 Kel-Tec PLR-16 pistol with a 9" barrel, and a 12 gauge Mossberg 590 pump shotgun. I was amazed that these patches worked so well on .223, .40 and 12 gauge barrels. The way the patches are threaded onto the patch pullers allows the great adjustability, and also increases its effectiveness compared to a rectangular patch threaded onto the end of a rod.Unlike the other review, I had no trouble with patches coming off in a .223 barrel. It worked great.Like the other reviews, the Otis claim of six uses per patch is not accurate. 1-2 for the 12 gauge, 2-3 for .40, and 3-4 for .223. Less near the end when more serious about not recontaminating the bore.These patches cost about ten times what you'd pay for square patches, but you can use them 2-4 times each. They also clean at least ten times better than rectangular patches.I was skeptical, but I'm sold on the concept. They need to make a 1000 patch volume pack so I can stock up.Now that I have the Otis, I'm selling my caliber specific cleaning kits, and all those old square patches go with them.By the way, if you should run out of these fancy patches, you can punch a couple of holes in an old square patch and it works just fine, but I wouldn't try to save money doing this. My time is more valuable than that.
