This sturdy steel rest is constructed of strong square tubing for a lifetime of use. The rife or shotgun is cradled in a nylon web at the rear while the forend rests on a Caldwell Front Rest Bag. Easily adjustable for windage and elevation, this design offers a rock solid base for precision shooting.

This is probably the best ...

This is probably the best rest for the money. I took it out for a day at the range and it did not disappoint. My 10/22 and this rest made quarter size groups easy at 50 yards using my MRDs. Adjustments are a snap and is very solid.

Nice little piece of ...

Nice little piece of equipment for the money. Light, easy to transport and set up. I use it with all my rifles, from a .22 up to a 30-06. The gun is not locked into it and it is not a kick reducer, so don't expect that. This is simply an aiming tool to help steady my aging eyes and muscles. I use it primarily for sighting-in purposes prior to hunting. Once it is set up, it is just a matter of rocking the gun back and forth to recover from recoil and re-acquire the target. It has helped a great deal w/my bench accuracy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a steadier hold without paying a big price.

I just got back from the ...

I just got back from the range and I was pleasantly surprised at the versatility and function of the this rest. It was the cheapest full length rest I could find and it is stable, well built, and I actually shot better off of this rest than I did off of my old sandbags.

Ships well protected, is ...

Ships well protected, is pretty solid and strong once tightened down but light. I actually shot 11/16 ctc 5 shot group (100 yds) with the rest today using a 55 gr FMJ, FFII 3x9 BR in a 22-250, albeit downloaded to 2850 fps. Not bad at all for me as I usually shoot mil-surps. So it can be fairly steady. The rest was missing the large knurled nut that secures the front T to the rest of the rest when it arrived. It is a standard thread and I just put a washer and nut I had around on it. I think the rest is good for any cartridge/rifle combo that doesn't kick too much. It's a great little rest but I won't ask too much of it, ie no rifles with much in the way of recoil. Anything that kicks about like a 22-250, or less, should be fine and anything that kicks a little more than that will ok as well, I suspect. If you're going to use a rest for more than annual zeroing and a few range visits each year then you might consider spending a little more for something else. Because it is light and relatively small it is handy. I'd recommend one of two things for using the rest: Fist under the rear of the rest or a wooden wedge. Both of these will allow one to get back on target reasonably quickly when it jumps around after a shot. With a little care, the rest should good for many years. I like it quite a bit, but like I said I won't ask too much of it.

This is a very good ...

This is a very good shooting rest for the money. The product is well made and durable. My only complaint is that the height and leveling adjustments could be done a little easier with knobs. I was disappointed that it wouldn't work with my AR type rifle because of the pistol grip. Otherwise I am impressed with the quality and value of this product.

This is a great shooting ...

This is a great shooting rest. It is solid and easy to use. It has a ton of vertical adjustability. This is a "no frills" rest that is everything a shooter really needs. The length and feel of the rest is perfect in my opinion.
