I was somewhat disappointed in the engineering and workmanship of the gunvise. I found it VERY frustrating to install the left and right canters due to poor workmanship - it had to be filed in order to fit, this was after I had already cross-threaded the first bolt due to the substandard engineering. Which led to my having to purchase a metric 12mm tap in order to repair. The engineers should redesign the installation of the canters. Other than that, I was very pleased with the product and would recommend its purchse for the intended use. I would urge prospective customers to read the online instruction manual prior to purchase (which by the way I found to be in great need of rewriting) in order to be sure it is what they will use it for. Once the front canters were installed, the rest of the assembly was very easy and went very quickly. Setting up my rifle and shooting it went very well which made me glad to have purchased it. I would strongly recommend the product to others, but just as strongly recommend that the manufacturer spend 30 minutes to redesign the front canter(s) installation. For those who are wondering, the first three bolts which seemed to give other people so much trouble installed very very easily.

On the positive side, the rest works well, set up is easy and the remote fire feature is a welcome addition to handloading safety. Where it needs some work - The hydraulic cylinder that mounts to the rest when using remote fire is poorly mounted and needs a simple redesign to make it reliable. The remote trigger syringe should contain a return spring so the remote trigger is not resting on the gun's trigger after firing. The stow bolts for the shock absorbers should not be threaded. The shock absorbers expand when stowed and almost need to be pried free to use them.

What an absolute pile of junk. I made a mount to secure it to a bench at the range. It takes too much adjustment from shot to shot and is not practical to use. Complete waste of time and money.

This is the first product like this I have bought. It works great. You must take the time to set it up as the directions show and check the adjustment before each use. It is not made to just flop it on the bench and use. Make sure the rest is set and adjusted for your rifle. The rest must or should be clamped down when in use. If not you will have to reset the rest each time you fire your rifle. Just make sure everything is set and tight where needed when you use it. If you have a bolt or nut too lose it will alow too much movement in the unit but in some areas you need some movement and the book will tell you where they are. I will use this shooting rest alot more in sighting in my rifles or just for shooting them. Just take the time and follow the directions and it works great also work with it and learn. Happy with my Hyskore!

Excellent product. Printed instructions a bit vague, but easy to assemble. Tested with my Mossberg 100 ATR 30-06 at Leeds Firing Range in Sumter National Forest in South Carolina. Recoil calculator said 17ft/lbs recoil with 180gr, used mild piston to start. Used 50% of piston's compression on firing. Hydraulic trigger system could use a better mounting system, but works fine as is. I had to tie-wrap the trigger piston to the second bolt as it wanted to shift position when pressing the trigger. I also had to ream the bolt holes to remove excess paint so the bolts would would not bind. Minor problem. I was unable to secure the rest to the shooting bench so I had to readjust after each shot, but I will be building the platform suggested before I go to the range again. After zeroing my Nikon scope at 100 yards with the rest, I went to free fire with my bipod and in a 10 round group got 3 in the 9 ring, 4 in the 10 ring and 3 in the bullseye. 7 shots in a 1" group. This is DEFINITELY the best shooting rest for the money.

Wow, what a waste of money. I had a custom rifle built and was having trouble getting it to shoot. I bought this to try to eliminate the human error. I used it once at the range and it was way more hassle than it was worth and I had to realign everything after every shot. It is now a very expensive gun vise.

AS stated above the first three bolts were hard to install but not imposable.once togeather and taken to the local range it was great. with my ruger 77 .223 5 shots less than 1.125" group

Mounted properly this rest will insure that your gun is as well tuned as it will ever be! I used to hand sight all my weapons the way I did in the army but if I could do it all over again I would have one of these at every range my platoon fired at. If you miss after using this rest to sight in your rifle, it was your mistake!!!

The assembly of the stand went by the book, until I got to the cantalure adjustment. I found that the clearance between the nut plate in the rectangular square tubing wall would not accomodate the fiber self locking nut. Fortunally for me Iam a amateure gunsmith so by turning the nut down on a mini lathe to .430 it fit like a glove. If you don't have a lathe or a milling mach., go to the local nut and bolt store and get a close tolerance nut in non fiber locking. Go home and put 3 drops of red Lock Tite on the screw threads and screw the nut on till it bottoms out, problem solved. If you can't find a nut then you will have to go to work with a file. I have found this stand to be well made and am so far very happy with it, even with the modification. I would recommend this stand to my friends. Happy shooting!
