I have this sight mounted ...

I have this sight mounted on a tactical shotgun. This sight has a 33mm exit pupil size. The most popular, widely accepted exit pupil size is 30mm for most higher quality red dot sights. So we are right in there. The sight runs on a 3 volt coin shaped lithium battery. Lithium batteries have a very long shelf life lasting for several years setting idle under no load. You will notice the reticle brightness is not quite as bright as it was before at the same setting which lets you know the battery needs replacing soon. This is better than other types of batteries which have a short shelf life and self discharge over a span of a few months and with little warning suddenly go dead on you. The sight has click adjustable elevation and windage adjustments with no looseness, no slop, no shifting or misalignment. There is plenty of windage and elevation adjustment range. You have a choice of 4 styles of reticle with the turn of a knob. The reticle is crisp and clear, no distortion or ghosts. This sight mounts to standard weaver base or picatinny rail and can be used on shotgun, rifle or handgun. Target acquistion is guick and accurate. Simply place the recticle on target and fire. This sight is used with the shooters head up and both eyes open. This is a real plus as you see the reticle and the target and at the same time everything surrounding the target before sending rounds down range. This is a good safety shooting feature. I think ATN did there homework on this one. This is a quality well made sight and I highly recommend it.

I mounted the Ultra Sight ...

I mounted the Ultra Sight on my Colt H-Bar, using military 55 grain ammo to zero. After approximately 25 rounds the reticle would disappear after each shot, I would have to work with the rheostat before the reticle would appear again. This happened with the settings from 9 to 11 and all reticles I could not use the lower settings because of the light conditions. Up to this point I was very impressed with the Ultra Sight. I will return the sight for a replacement and leave further comments again.

Excellent Sight, this was ...

Excellent Sight, this was actually my first reflex sight, and I love it. One thing to note I had read the other reviews, and checked the battery spring before shooting the first time, all looked good, nice snug fit, after shooting had no blinking problems (installed on a Ruger 10/22 with bolt recoil buffer, so not a huge recoil to worry about). However I struggled at first to sight it in, was just about to give up and pack it up for return, then discovered the front of the site was wobbling. Make sure you check the screw that is on the bottom of the front of the sight (holds front top part of sight to its lower mounting bracket) mine was loose, and getting looser the more I shot, snugged it down good and tight, reattached to gun, and quickly zeroed it in, has held zero ever since. Will probably use a little loctite on the screw if it ever comes loose again.Also, I would recommend searching for the bright light filter for it, if you ever shoot towards the sun. Added one to mine, as my closest shooting range at my friends house faces west, without it evening shooting on a sunny day is next to impossible.

Works ok on my 22s, but ...

Works ok on my 22s, but it can't take any recoil. On my 45-70 guide gun, it cycles through the reticle options at each shot! So, I gave up on that gun and never did finish sighting it in.

You know how I test the ...

You know how I test the durability of any optic I purchase? I give it to my 2 year old son for about a week. No joke. Anyhow this optic is outstanding. With a military backround and using optics like the EoTech and the Aimpoint I was suprised to see how well this optic performed in comparison for half the price. It has 5 crisp reticle patterns with 11 intensity settings and an awesome 33mm exit pupil (size of the glass). This optic surpasses its competetors in the price range and even surpasses some above it, i.e the cmore series of products (which I own and am pleased with). I won't go as far to say that it's an Eotech or trijicon but it stands its ground and handles even the roughest abuse for a budget optic. Weighing in for around 175.00 you get every bang for your buck. This optic is well suited for Home Defense/moderate tactical use (I wouldn't go assault climbing or diving with it). It can handle quite the down pour and operates fine in freezing conditions, which most optics in this price range or cheaper cannot claim. I havent expirenced any of the problems others have stated in their reveiws and plan to use this optic for all spectrums of use. Durable, reliable, affordable. Why wouldn't you buy it. Dont settle for the cheaper optics out there, you know the ones I'm talking about for 30-50.00 that are only useful for air rifles. This optic is the real deal. Get you one!

Is this an EOTech? No but ...

Is this an EOTech? No but I also didn't pay close to $400.00 either. I have this mounted on an XD 45 and Rock River AR-15 with zero problems! Point of impact NEVER changes! And no problems with sight going out. The recital is just a little fuzzy, but once again, I'll say this isn't an EOTech. Do you get what you paid for? Well sometimes you get a LOT more!This sight is good! Not perfect... But good!!

Outstanding! They really ...

Outstanding! They really did their homework with this one. It mounts up sturdy, easily, and I was able to zero it in without difficulty. It holds its zero when changing from reticle to reticle. I find the 2 MOA dot perfect for long range shooting, while the other reticles are better for silhouette. Unlike other illuminated dot scopes on the market, this one is really designed to be used with both eyes open. After you get used to it, you'll wonder why everyone doesn't go to this across the board. You have to play with the brightness to find which level is best with regard to your ambient lighting, so as not to over shine you target downrange. Zero is not even adversely affected by dismounting the sight to change the battery. The 4 reticle model is clearly more reliable and a better buy than the digital version, which I'm told has "winking problems" with higher recoiling weapons. This is clearly the best, most useful gun accessory I've ever bought - period.

Horrible distracting ...

Horrible distracting internal red concentric ring reflections around any reticle at higher illumination. Same problem with identical product at other local store. Returned for credit. Great service from Midway.

I've had this sight for ...

I've had this sight for several months. I too had problems w/ a shifting zero and flickering reticle. Both were easy fixes. Bend the battery spring slightly for better contact, clean the battery with alcohol and DON'T get any body oil on the battery when installing it. Shifting zero was due to the screw that hold the top & bottom halves together coming loose. Take the screw out, apply a liberal amount of Loctite and tighten screw down firmly. I haven't had a problem since and my AR rides in my Truck all the time.

The ATN sight is very ...

The ATN sight is very quick aiming and easy to use.It holds zero after unmounting and remounting.I had a problem with it blinking off and on and traced it to the battery sliding in the unit.I stretched the spring that holds the battery in the cap and have had NO blinking since.The four different reticles is a great feature.You have the best for everything from targets to sillhouettes.

Terrible sight. The top ...

Terrible sight. The top half of the sight has a moderate side to side and up and down shift, which causes the sight to lose its zero after a few shots. Poorly made and not recommended for any type of shooting.
