This product is ...

This product is absolutely essential for separating your just polished brass from the tumbler media. All you do is place it on top your 3.5 or 5 gallon bucket (where it's designed to fit perfectly), and pour the contents of your tumbler in. You then shake it by it's handles until all the media has drained out. sure beats doing it individually and getting your fingerprints all over your nice clean brass. It's easy to store, just place it atop a bucket with no top (though the handles do stick out a little too far for my taste). Works as well or better as any rotary item I've ever seen though the shaking required to use it is a bit noisier.

Fits perfectly in the top of a 5 gal bucket. Works very well, however, I wish it did not have the lips around the lower edges, they seem to catch a lot of media. Overall a good purchase.

This is a great product, cheap, sturdy and it makes cleaning the media from your tumbled cases a snap. I simply place this separator over a 5 gallon bucket empty all of the media with clean shells into the separator, give it a shake and am done. Very simple product to use. Average Joe reviews gives it 5 stars!!

Excellent product! Use it with a Lyman tumbler with the autoflow. I stopped using the autoflow feature on my tumbler and am simply dumping the entire contents of the tumbler into the separator using the pan that came with the tumbler underneath. Very efficient, time saver, effortless. A little "Gold Panning" motion will remove 100% of corncob media from everything I've used including .223 in about 5 minutes. Never knew it could be this easy! The handles are great, very durable, stores easy. I Give it a 10!!!

I "often" use the Frankford Arsenal Brass Separator. It works very well with my most common brass of 9mm, 38/357 and 45ACP. It is a sure fire way of cleaning straight wall brass, no doubt. "Common Sense" would tell you it will not separate all media from bottle neck brass, but for the reasonable selling price at Midway, it's a no brainer. I use it with a 5 gallon plastic bucket and personally, I think it works slick! No regrets here!

Have been tumbling my brass and separating the media with a homemade shifter. I should have gotten this Frankford media separator years ago. For the money, time saved is invaluable. I pour the contents of my Lyman tumbler into it over a 5 gallon pail and in a few minutes most of the media is separated from my pistol brass (9mm, .40S&W & .45ACP). Highly recommended to simplify any reloader's post tumbling tasks.
