Update. In my Browning ...

Update. In my Browning 1885 with its 28" barrel, it averages 3060 fps (chronographed). The load is very accurate, achieving 1 MOA.With more hunting experience on caribou, I discovered that this bullet and load will completely penetrate any size caribou, at any angle, and through any amount of bone. I hit one animal from the front at the base of the neck; the bullet went through 5 vertebrae between the shoulder blades and exited through the pelvis, penetrating about 3 feet. The shock destroyed all the meat within several inches of the bullet path.Since I hunt for meat, this is too much damage. I will aim for lungs in the future if I use this rifle and bullet on caribou again.

Used this bullet to hunt buffalo last year in Idaho. I killed a 2000 lb bull with two shots at about 100 yrds.Now thats what I call stopping power.

I have just begun to use ...

I have just begun to use this bullet for my 7 Rem Mag. It shoots very flat out to about 800 yards, with 2 or less moa, depending on who is shooting my rifle. My son-in-law bagged a large doe with one shot at about 125 yards. It was a little close for the bullet, but it performed perfectly.

I have used this bullet ...

I have used this bullet in 7mm Rem. Mag. for over 20 years, and have never had a bullet failure of any kind. No animal, which include caribou, moose, seal, and great bearded seal, has ever gotten back up after being hit with this bullet.The only thing I don't like about this bullet is that the lead tends to flow out of the jacket at maximun expansion, though that does not seem to affect its effectiveness. It has been very accurate in the rifles I have used it in, a Browning BBR and a Browning 1885.
