Extra turrets are a must to have if reloading many calibers. Changing and readjusting dies is very time consuming; by utilizing extra turrets reloaders are able to keep each turret setup with everything needed to reload a particular caliber. To switch calibers simply change out the turret and go. This turret has spacing to hold up to six standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies and is the same turret head that is shipped with the T-Mag 2 turret press. This turret will also fit the T-Mag turret press.

I bought my T-Mag press ...

I bought my T-Mag press 20 years ago when Lyman was still orange. Never bought an extra turret until now and what a mistake. This one fit my old press like a glove. Will buy another soon. Then I'll be done changing out dies for all of my pistol calibers. Midway is the absolute best, especially when it comes to quick shipping.

This solidly-built ...

This solidly-built product performs as intended. I currently own four and will soon get a fifth, allowing me to simply keep one turret per caliber I reload. Until recently I used one turret for both .45LC and .38/.357, but as I've added Lee Factory Crimp Dies, Lee sizers, etc., I've found myself using up to five dies per caliber.I now use my original single-stage press for a universal decapper die, which I use for certain loads in which I want to use fire-formed cases, such as my .38-55, without resizing. Think I'll start doing the same for .45LC, to get a tighter fit in the chamber and thus better bullet-to-bore alignment. The point is, with this turret system I can approach the entire reloading process with a flexibility I never dreamed of with the older single-stage setup. When I want to reload 10-12 for chrono use, to check for leading in a new load, or to adjust sights, I can simply swap out turrets in 1-2 minutes. It's really nice to be able to make small batches of ammo for various purposes, whereas it's not worth the trouble when you have to swap out the entire die each time. Just setting up the die themselves is simpler, as I calibrate the size/crimp die with a primed, charged, unflared cartridge, but then can rotate it, flare it, rotate back and then finish loading it.You will save yourself lots of time & frustration with this turret setup. Most importantly, you'll be willing and able to experiment a lot more & get the most out of your reloading experience.

It's good to have extras ...

It's good to have extras of these. That way, you don't have to pull out the dies once they are set when you want to change calibers. This price has gone down, too.

I've used this T-Mag 2 ...

I've used this T-Mag 2 turret press for over 4 years now reloading mostly handgun cartridges(10,000 to 20,000 rounds easy)without a hitch. It's very, very solid and durable with excellent clearance between the linkage and the bench. The only drawback is the side to side play in the linkage which my RCBS Rockchucker does not have. For tighter tolerances I reload all rifle rounds in the RCBS because of this linkage slop. The T-Mag 2 overall is a great performer, flexible and much faster than single stage presses(based on personal ownership experience I still don't trust the progressive presses accuracy factor) and well worth the money. Lyman's customer service is excellent too. This press is built to well outlast my lifetime and probably then some.
