I was not happy with the ...

I was not happy with the "improved" e2 grips that came on my new Sig P226, largely do to the lack of grip screws, so I replaced them with these from Hogue. I was concerned whether these would fit because of the new hammer spring arrangement in the e2. These grips fit perfectly and look and feel great.

I purchased this grip for my P226. I have large hands and this grip has truly made a difference. No more slipping, I can aquire and maintain a firm grip. I just purchased another P226 and you better believe I ordered another set of grips.

The grips feels great in ...

The grips feels great in the hand when installed. Unfortunately, I took mine off right because the grip is too thick and the decocking lever gets hung up and does not function well. Honestly, Hogue should not put the rubber overmold on that portion of the grip. The decocker needs that clearance and the grip would be fine for any shooter without the overmold in the path of the decocker.

I added similar Hogue ...

I added similar Hogue grips to my P239 and love them. Unfortunately, these grips simply do not fit my older P226. First, the left grip is too thick for the decocking lever to function without binding. Removing the lever from the gun and trying to hand fit it to the grip shows that it's not a mounting issue, the grip is just too thick. Second, where the portion of the grip surrounding the well narrows towards the rear, it is not chamfered like the SIG factory grips, so my Mec-Gar 18-rd mags won't fit any more!

In a word, awesome! I ...

In a word, awesome! I usually end up disappointed with after-market accessories, but not so with these grips. They fill my (larger than average) hands very well; much better than the factory grips, and my groupings have tightened up a bit. They provide a much stabler shooting platform and a much better recoil absorption.The only drawback to these grips is that it makes Type 3 malfunctions (a.k.a. "double feeds") more difficult to clear, because the thicker rubber doesn't leave a lot of the slide lever exposed to push up against when locking back the slide. It's doable with regular practice, though.Other "potential" problems to watch out for are that some people might find it more difficult to reach the mag release button easily; and occasionally the rubber catches on my shirt when presenting the weapon from a holster; but I suspect that's a flaw in my presentation more than a problem with the grips.Overall, I highly recommend these grips to any P226 owner. I would be very surprised if you didn't like them. It is easily the best $15 you could ever spend on improving your pistol.

These are a very solid feeling grip. Non slip, very comfortable. They don't feel as bulky as the finger groove grips. I seem to have better control with these panels.
