This die set works well for loading 357 sig cases for my Glock. The only problem is that you have to lube your cases. However, I was able to get around NOT lubing them by using my Lee 40 s&W carbide sizing die. Using a 4-hole Lee Turret press, I first size the fired 357 cases with the 40 sizer. Since this is a carbide die, no lube is required. This process sizes the body of the case. Then w/o lubing, I next run the case thru the steel 357 sizer. I find that you need not lube it if you size only the shoulder and neck which is what happens since you already size the body thru the 40 die. Although this is an additional step, it is certainly much faster than lubing the case. Now I'm quite happy with reloading my 357's and shooting more rounds w/c is the important thing!

Used in Pro-1000 with ...

Used in Pro-1000 with Lyman case lube after tumbling and trimming to length. Only problem is size die. I had to repolish it twice after stuck cases. Switched to Lee water soluble case lube and MOST of the problems went away. Plan to have these Titanium Nitride coated which will help slick up the die.

The dies work very well for what they were intended for. The reason for the four star rating over a five, is the cases need to be ran through a 40 cal carbide bulge die first. This makes the sides good and flat. The cases also need to be lubed before the final sizing.

Sizing die is not the best quality; even with OneShot cases still get stuck and have to take apart die and remove from press to get going again. The powder thru expander is AWESOME, wish they sold it seperate. I have had best results using the Hornady CGND .357 Sig sizing die, the Lee .357 Sig powder thru expander and Hornady .355 bullet seating die with the crimp backed out and finally the Lee .357 Sig factory crimp die.

Great die set for the ...

Great die set for the money and it includes a shell holder. As others have mentioned, I resize first with a 40 S&W sizing die to avoid case lube. The only problem I have with Lee dies are the lock rings. I have upgraded those with the Hornady lock rings (and I'm still way under what I would have paid for any other brand of dies). The Lee Factory Crimp Die is another must have for reloading 357 Sig

Let me first state that I am relatively new to reloading - I've been doing it for about 2 yrs. So perhaps the fact that bottleneck cases resized in steel dies require lubrication inside and outside the die is a well know fact for the more experienced reloaders. So for those of you who don't know (and I was one of you) get Lee's resizing lubricant and put a small amount around the case below the shoulder. Also "scrape" some into the inside case neck. I found this info out after I sent the sizing die back to Lee as I was having problems with it. Perhaps this info will save you some time and postage.

Used this to reform 40S&W cases to 357 Sig. No problem. Works fine. Just remember not to use full house 357 loads on the reformed cases. I use only 85% of max.Only problem is you have to lubricate your cases and no factory crimp dies yet. Best deal in town...buy it!

I bought this after checking reviews. Good performance. I mounted this on a Dillon 550B. I load lubeless using 2 sizing dies in sequence - a 40SW carbide is station 1 and the lee 357 sig sizer with decapping pin removed in station 2. The dillon powder dispenser moves to station 3 and uses spring return. Station 4 is bullet seat die. I've loaded 500 rounds this way and encountered no problems. Rounds formed using 125 gr lead heads dropped from a Lee mold forms 1.5" groups at 25 yds from a Les Baer 5" fitted with a 357 sig barrel. Super recommended die set. No shoulder set-back problems at all. Mega satisfied!!

I got this die set from another guy. I tried to use it for reforming but found it difficult until the same guy told me to use only new 40 S&W cases not fired cases. It has been great since. I've reformed 1000 cases and its cheaper than 357 brass from starline. I also find the other dies on this set of excellent quality and easy to set up although the Lee instruction sheet could have been more specific. I looked at another Lee instruction sheet for another pistol caliber for steel dies and its very different from what I have! Overall, the Lee is a good deal - lowest cost, free shell holder and load data are the best things on this product.

I use LEE dies exclusively, I have only been reloading for around 8 months. My only problem about LEE dies are the seating dies. It does not matter what caliber I am using--7mag or .357 SIG. It time and time again seats the bullet crooked, I went as far as to buy a new set of SIG dies just to get a new seater and this seating die set them dead square. Only problem with the new one now is it will jump from 1.135" to 1.150" on a whim and then if you try to adjust it to compensate for the longer bullet the next one will be roughly 1.120". This officially drove me up the wall needless to say, so to be honest I use all LEE dies EXCEPT for the seating die which is Redding competition. The Redding has a micrometer adjuster and is nearly dead set once locked in maybe a thousandth of an inch plus or minus.
