I have this for my backup for my RCBS (plastic) puller. For the price its cheap for a set of three and you never know when will the original break. All in all a good extra to have when stuff breaks.

I agree that they are soft and probably won't last. However they make 3 different sizes of the tops to accept pretty much all calibers, but I happened to buy the hammer part kit with these tops and believe it or not, I tried to pull some 270 wsm bullets today out of factory loads and the case doesn't fit into the tool itself. The idea of different caps is good, but the engineering needs to be thought out more.

I finally took the time to learn how to use this properly. I give this 5 stars for ease of use, and so far, durability. I have not had any of the early wear issues of the collets that others have described. Having this gives me the confidence to load knowing that if I need to pull a bullet, I can easily do in less than 1 minute.

I bought one of the Quinetics bullet pullers from Midway many years ago when I got started reloading and have used it with no problems for hundreds of pulls. About a year ago I opened a gun store and bought several of the Frankford Arsenal Bullet Pullers to sell in my store. I have had every one come back with a broken collet after minimal use. The aluminum they make the collets from is, in my opinion, either too thin or too soft. Even after assuming I may have received a bad batch and replacing the collets with the replacement collet kits, they simply broke again when used. I advised my customers who bought them to bring them back, and at no charge I replaced them with the RCBS line that I carry. My advice, either get the RCBS or the Quinetics line. There may be others that are great, but these are the only 2 I know for sure work 100% of the time. I like a lot of Frankford Arsenal's products, but this is not one.

I have pulled hundreds of bullets with this device. So far nothing has broken. I have learned how to deal with the o-ring & most of the time I can push the bullet thru with no problem. It does take some time to get used to it, but for the price it does more than what I expected. I take this to the field since it is small & light.

These do the job, but -the aluminum is soft and wears quickly.you have to select the proper size for each cartridge.the puller has to be completely disassembled to reomve the recovered components.getting a cartrige with a blunt-nosed bullet in without knocking one or more sections out of the o-ring is frustrating.Do yourself a favor and just buy a QUINETICS replacement collet. It works fine in the Midway/Frankford bullet puller.
