Takedown pins have over sized heads to make separating the upper and lower receiver faster and easier. Patent pending design is ideal for shooters running multiple upper receivers off of a single lower. Takedown pins are heat treated to the proper hardness and plated to Mil Specs.

I had no problems installing these pins and they work fine on my Stag lower / upper set. That being said be aware that if you are a left handed shooter like me the extended rear pin makes it much harder to operate a left hand selector lever. I'm use to using my trigger finger (left hand) to flip the right side selector lever so it was only a minor problem for me. The ease of switching out uppers with these pins makes up for the selector problem.

I've come to expect big things from YHM. I've got their forearms on several of my rifles, and I've always liked the quality. So I figured this would be the same. The finish on these was very rough. My stock (cheap) takedown pins are 100 times smoother than these are. I ended up taking some light sandpaper to them, followed by some polishing with my Dremel to get the metal smooth. I then reblued them. It just didn't seem worth it to return them to Midway when I figured I could "make them work". They serve their purpose - Allows you to remove the pins without any tools or anything to push the pins out in order to separate the top and bottom half of the AR. However, I wouldn't call them "EZ" because they are just too rough. They aren't bad... they just are a bit disappointing. YHM needs to finish these a lot better.

I've had these pins on my AR lower half for.. I don't know, I guess a couple years now... But they're great. The finish is nice, they fit just fine, and they install fairly easily if you're careful with the detents and springs. They're big enough for fast and easy operation, but not so big that they can snag on things. Yeah, they add a little bit of custom look to any rifle, but they mainly make disassembly a breeze. It's money well spent.

I almost didn't by the YH EZ pull takedown pins because of previous review that stated rear pin was too long and had to be cut down. Apparently, the writer installed the wrong pin (longer) in the rear, as I first did. After installing the correct pins in the right holes, everything fit perfectly. easy installation and good price. Great product! I have these on my 22LR AR rifle, makes clearing jams, removing the bolt, and cleaning fast and easy. No more looking for a case, pen or something to push the rear pin out to where you can pull it out. The knob is just big enough to grab easily, without being too big to get in the way. My only wish would be that they would sell just the rear pin, as that is the one that I'm using the most. I could get by without the extended front pin.
