I purchased this to reload an SKS. It worked wonderfully. It comes with two depriming pin/neck sizing rods. One is for 0.308 (most common bullets out there and for the Ruger ranch rifle) and the other is for 0.310, which is the typical SKS bullet size. One of the best things that Lee dies do is their factory crimp die. Since an SKS is a semi-auto, it should have a good crimp and the Lee Factory crimp is about as good as it gets. Using this reloading set dramatically improved the accuracy of my SKS. I have since gone on to reload an MN1891/30 and have taken the .310 depriming pin/neck sizing rod and am using that in another Lee die, so this purchase is helping me with more than I had originally expected.

DO NOT BUY. The factory ...

DO NOT BUY. The factory crimp die fingers do not even touch the re-sized shell. The shell also falls just short of the fingers even with the die fully screwed down. The bulled seating die can not be screwed low enough to seat a bullet. I checked the shell mouth and length to be correct. Both dies are imprinted with 7.62x39. I dont expect precision form Lee Precisions but these dies are so bad they are useless.

I have 2 sets of 7.62x39 russian dies, an RCBS set for .311 AK reloading and this set with the .308 resizer for loading the sierra 110 grain BTHP for my mini 30 along with IMR4227. It has helped me develop rounds tailored directly to my Mini and achieve accuracy I thought was impossible with a Mini platform. The factory Lee crimp die also works great and added one solely for my RCBS set. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. If you planning on loading for the old style mini 30 with a barrel diameter of .308 do yourself a favor and get these!

Just finished loading my first 250 rounds with this die set. I am very much in love with the Factory Crimp Die, which is quite necessary for an autoloader such as my SKS. Set came with both expanders too! Superior value for the low price tag.

Used these for many of years. Never a bit of trouble. Having an AK-47 and two SKS Rifles with many of rounds down range Lee Dies have never let me down. Most of my reloading Dies are "Lee". You got to love not having set screws to deal with for a minor adjustment. IMHO Lee Dies are the best bang for the buck plus. Started out getting them for the cost reasons, GLAD I DID! And YES I got them from MIDWAY USA before the internet. Now it's just even easier.

The crimp die works ...

The crimp die works great. The sizing die works ok, but leaves fine scratches on the side of the case. The seating die I could not use. When trying to seat a bullet, the die would grip the bullet and pull it back out of the case. I had to take the die apart to get the bullet back. Tried with 123gr Barnes X bullets and 123gr Hornady Soft Points. I will not buy another lee die.

As with all of Lee's products, these are the BEST money can buy. You could pay more for other brands, but WHY? Remember that these are NOT carbide and require that you clean and lube your cases.I plan on many thousands of rounds made with these dies.

Great product! I had a brief learning curve, since I loaded pistol EXCLUSIVELY until now. I use a small Lee one stage to de-cap and Size, trim, then a Dillon 505B progressive loader for the finishing stages. Nice work, and I really like the adjustment capability on the seating die. Great product!

I have these dies for loading 7.62x39 for my Ruger Mini-30. I just love them. They produce excellent and accurate rounds. The factory crimp dies form a powerful and consistent crimp. My accuracy has improved a bit compared to factory rounds. plus you get a free shell holder. The best deal anywhere!

These dies are excellent. I have never had any problems with them and I have owned them for many years. My Dad owned the dies that I own now for many years before I did. I have never had to take them apart and clean them either. The crimp die puts an excellent crimp on the bullet, be careful not to use it if you don't have a cannelure or crimp groove. Can't beat these for the quality and value.
