The closed ring HK style ...

The closed ring HK style was the most important factor for me, too. Aligning two circles (front and rear sights) is much more natural, and faster, than typical front sights. Great contrast with the ring and stem, very stout construction. I will say the base is almost too stout, seems a bit bulky and the clamping part on the side you don't seems a bit small by comparison. Despite this minor detail, it holds rock solid and performs perfectly. I will buy again!

When looking for a flip up front sight to purchase it was either between the Troy or PRI - what really made the difference to me was the HK style closed ring. In my opinion (and since I'm use to shooting through HK style sights), the sight picture is a lot faster. Quality materials and build, which are consistent with PRI quality control (I have the Flip FSB and gas buster on another rifle). The locking mechanism they use is large and rugged and the sight clicks firmly and quickly into place and won't budge until you depress it with the side button. The mount itself holds firm to the rail and is very solid.The only drawback I can think of is the price, as it is more than the Troy /w the HK styling, for a similar package. However, is was worth it to me, aesthetically, but more importantly - for performance. A good buy.
