The Knoxx CompStock is a replacement stock that dramatically reduces felt recoil. An internal system of rollers and springs reduces peak recoil by over 50 percent, making even the heaviest magnums a delight to shoot. Based on a Hogue overmolded stock, the CompStock features a fiberglass skeleton and overmolded rubber surface that make it as durable as it is comfortable.

Kick of my 12ga Mossberg 590A1 was greatly reduced as advertised. I generally found the stock to be sturdy and well built although I did not try to attach the included fore end. Installation was a snap and everything fit well; a 1/2 inch socket with extension helps. However, when the stock collapsed at recoil as it should, my thumb hit my nose no matter how I tried different holds. Cheek slap was negligible. It could be that since I am using ghost-ring sights and shoot my shotgun as I would a rifle that is the problem. I put my original stock back on. Overall I would recommend the product but individuals will have to experiment for their own particular application.

I got the Knoxx CompStock for my Mossberg 590A1 shotgun and I am very happy with it. It made shooting a shotgun very pleasant and easy to shoot, even my wife who is petite can handle a full 12-gauge slugs like it was a .223 rifle. Two thumbs up on this product and I would strongly recommend it to all shotgun owners out there as a great add-on.

Installed this on my Mossberg 590A1. Now 12-ga full power slugs feel like a .223 rifle. I suggest this product for anyone who wants to shoot without any sort of pain or bruising.

I bought this set for my Mossberg 835. The stock is fantastic IMO. You still get the recoil, but you don't get the bruising, headache producing shock from the magnum loads. I shoot rounds through this gun that I wouldn't shoot through my semi auto gas shotguns. The forearm is another story. It didn't fit my 835, and I had to buy an adapter nut for another few bucks, then you have to ream out the end of the replacement forend to get that to work, and after all that, it rattled so bad I just took it off. Stock is 5 stars plus to me, forend is 0 stars and in my parts box.

I am very pleased with this product. I had no problems shouldering and shooting 3" magnums and slugs with little recoil and no bruising. If you have a Mossberg 500 like I do be sure to buy the Hogue extended forend adapter nut. Knoxx makes an excellent product overall!

I had just about given up goose hunting because the recoil of my 835 was pounding me so hard. I have a bad neck and had to quit. I heard about this stock and bought one. It worked so well that I can shoot all day. No more neck pain and I get to hunt again.

I could really notice the spring system working with the 3" magnums I shot out of my 500. No soreness at all afterward. With light target loads, I didn't expect it to do much, but when I tried using a regular stock after shooting with my compstock, I immediately noticed a difference in recoil. The CompStock doesn't hurt my first shot accuracy and it helps me shoot follow-up shots faster and more accurately than before. The overmolded grips are comfortable, and the everything seems durable and well made. I also got the extra think butt pad and have liked the added length.
