I have a SW 1911 and have ...

I have a SW 1911 and have used these springs exclusively for the pistol. They are consistent, reliable and of decent quality, BUT they will only last about 600-700 rounds before they become weak. I've gone through 5 of these shooting about 3K rounds. When replacing the worn out springs with the new ones, there was a 1/2" difference in length between them from wear or fatigue. Just ordered Wolf 18 pounders, will see if they last longer

Great spring, on 1911s I ...

Great spring, on 1911s I use a lot this is my first choice. It may not be the very best recoil spring made in terms of life. That being said it's inexpensive and does the job. I just installed one on a Kimber Stainless II, does just fine.

These are just what the doctor ordered at a very reasonable price. I plan to keep at least two on hand. A simple thing to do, that will extend your pistol life as much as cleaning and oil.
