I bought this trigger as a replacement for the stock trigger on my 10/22, which broke. It came with a neat little cheater pin to make assembly easy, and it did make a difference in trigger pull. If you're looking for a real change, however, I would seriously look at the hammer and sear kits available for the gun. I took a star off the rating because it didn't come with glue to hold the overtravel adjustment screw in place .

Nice product and feel ...

Nice product and feel perfect in hand, problem is the trigger seem a little longer then the original one, after the installation the sear would not release due to the extra length of the trigger. I thought it was my problem, but I install the original one back, it works great, that confirm the problem of this trigger.

Yup, another trigger too long to fit inside the plastic trigger housing. I polished the part of the trigger where the return plunger slides, before finding that the tip of the trigger was catching on the housing. Don't grind the housing, grind the trigger! I realize this is one of the cheapest triggers, but that seems like a stupid problem.

After facing some obstacles after installing two of these triggers, and reading of others having similar problems, I did some research only to discover that these triggers were designed for use with the METAL housing previously manufactured by Ruger, and are not compatible with the new composite (plastic) housing. I'm sure this is a quality trigger, but until companies like midway get the old product through the supply chain, you're going to have to modify this slightly in order to use it. Power Custom has assured me that if I screw it up in the process of attempting a modification, they will replace the trigger, so I suppose I can't ask for much more. My rating reflects the fact that midway advertises this as being 10/22 compatible, and that data is clearly in error. Customers, check to see if you have the composite trigger housing BEFORE you order this product.

Bought this trigger with the Power Custom hammer parts kit. The trigger wouldn't work. Took it apart and put it together over and over. I could release the sear by pushing down the side of the trigger; but could not get the trigger to work. I finally took it to my gunsmith and he ended up putting the old plastic trigger back in with a travel screw added on, because he couldn't get it to work either. He said that rather than removing metal from the part it was better to just keep the stock part. I paid $60.00 for the gunsmith to reinstall my plastic trigger because I was had been hell bent on getting this thing to work, and in the end, it didn't. I'm sending it back.

Tried to put this on a new ruger 10/22 and it would not trigger the hammer. After a couple of hours of fiddling around trying to get it to work, I figured out that the trigger portion was too long and was hitting the bottom of the trigger guard before it could engage the sear. I had to file off the bottom of the trigger to get it to function properly. Maybe this wasn't an issue with the old metal trigger asms but the 2011 polymer one I have had this problem. Surpised nobody else has this problem.

Seems like a very nice product, initial impression was very good. The pins holes were round and tight, gave a very solid and smooth trigger pull. However, mine likely arrived defective, the trigger was 1/4" longer than the original, and barely fit if pressed against the trigger guard. 1/4" is a lot of extra material when the total trigger length is supposed to be a little under an inch. After installation, the disconnector wouldn't release (likely due to the extra length). Grinding off the extra 1/4" would likely have fixed the problem, but I did not want to modify it, only to find another problem. Again, mine was more than likely just defective, but I can only give it a 1 star, as it did not work.

Put this trigger in today with the Power Custom Hammer and Sear kit and I`m totally happy with it. What an improvement!! The only thing I would recommend is that you read the instructions thoroughly. Great deal for the money.

I purchased this Power Custom Trigger with Overtravel Adjustment for the Ruger 10/22, Aluminum Black along with the Power Custom pre-travel adjustable hammer/sear kit.(see) I like to have parts play nice with each other and this just dropped right in with the other Power Custom parts. Sure, you can drill and tap the factory unit, but consider the $$ value of your time and frustration and then buy this one.
