I have been using Bonanza Screwdrivers for over 25 years, working on my own guns. The only ones I have ever broken are the #1 and the #13, which have the thinnest blades. Never found anything I liked better for small screws and screws with thin slots than the #1 and #13, which unfortunately sometimes break on really tight screws.

These screwdrivers are far too brittle to use. If you should encounter a very tight screw the screwdriver will break before the screw will move.

These tools are a wise investment if you do some gunsmithing. Although a little bit pricey, the cost of a marred receiver, ascope or its mounts exceed their cost. I learned this the hard way after damaging guns/parts with automobile/home designed screwdrivers that do not fit properly.

I've used these for several years with no problems. Even removed overly tight factory installed floorplate screws on Charles Daly Zatsava actions with no damage to screws or screwdriver. A must buy if you want to do any sort of firearms work.

These tools are excellent. They are hardened so as to not bend and mar your gun, and to break before you damage the screw. If you break it, you're doing the wrong thing. I would just like to see a few more sizes than the available 12.

This is the third brand of screwdriver sets I have trialled in my shop. Like Larry, I broke one: on the first Conetrol base screw I tried to undo. The fit and width were perfect but it just could not do the job. I reflected on the matter and E-mailed Forster suggesting that they might want to reduce the diameter of the handles on the smaller 'drivers to limit the torque that can be applied. That was many weeks ago and they have not even replied to my E-mail.Poor show ! Wilhelm Arms & Optics, New Zealand.

Properly fitting the blade size to the screw head is very important to reduce breakage. I have had this set for a couple of years and never had a failure. I would recommend them to anyone.

Good quality screwdrivers. I have been using them on my IZH-46M air pistol. They are much better than the screwdriver tool that comes with the pistol. I don't need to worry about inferior tool will mar my pistol. I agree with Brent Ramsey, using the right blade size is critical for good work with the screwdrivers and less breakage. The only thing I would change is to add a thickness that's between #2 and #3 to better fit the screws in the grip of my pistol.One more thing: I printed the following page that has the thicknesses of the blades and keep it in the kit for quick reference.http://www.forsterproducts.com/Pages/screwdrivers.htm

The larger size drivers ...

The larger size drivers are good, but the smaller size just can't handle any torque at all! I have sheared the blades off of 2 of the smaller drivers, and in both cases the blade of the driver was a perfect fit to the slot of the screw. Maybe a heat-treat issue, or a metallurgy issue. Other than that, they are pretty good.

I broke the three smallest of the set. I'm replacing them with the Wheeler tips, same size numbers. Considering you get 3 tips for a lesser price than one screwdriver, I'm willing to see if they're a better choice.
