If I could give this product lower than 1 star I would. The rifle is nice, the Mags, well... not so much. Why a good company like Remington would make such a POS is a mystery. What ever happened to making them out of steel like the old ones? Do not buy this item. You will be as frustrated as we are. Can't shoot 2 rounds in a row without a FTF. Because of this problem I will not buy another Remington 22.

I bought 2 of these and one was sprung in the packing that Remington sells it in. I sure wish that Remington would sell a better quality magazine. This appears to be the only magazine available for the older models.

I ignored the negative ...

I ignored the negative comments about these 10 shot clips and ordered 4. First one worked fine the first time through the gun. The second time the shells spit right out of the clip (like others reported). I grabbed another new one, same result. I tried a third one and so far it's held up through 4 loads. I tried the 4th one and it failed with the same as the first 2. So 1 (out of 4) is still working, but I don't trust it. Meanwhile, my original 5 shot clip, never failed. Go figure.

I ordered two of these magazines for my son's rifle. The price was fair, the service was as always great,..but unfortunately,...these magazine, althought they are Remington mags,..are simply not worth buying. The plastic follower doesn't stay in the mag, and it spits follower, ammo and springs. If you like chasing parts and ammo,..buy a lot of them. I don't care for doing that,..and have returned the items for refund. I gave them one star only because it wouldn't let me give none. I would think Midway would pull these until Remington can do better.

This is the worst ...

This is the worst magazine I have ever used. Bullets fly out when loaded fully. They last about 6 months if used often until the follower just flies out of the top along with all those bullets. I can't believe there isn't a steel aftermarket available. It's a shame as these guns are so accurate. Looks like Remington quality is a thing of the past.

Had the same problem with ...

Had the same problem with the clip shooting rounds out when you fill it with all 10 rounds. Went through 2 of them in two days because the clip "exploded" resulting in loss of the piece on top that holds the spring in. These Clips are worthless but it's all I can find guess I'll try the modifications suggested above with the nest one I have to buy.

These magazines are poorly made, but you can move around the ammo shooting out. I took out the spring and cut about 1 inch off, and put it back in. I also took the little clip off the top and also bent that closer. it seems to hold 10 rounds just fine now after that. Good luck.

These are rather crappy mags for a nice gun but as stated above they are the only ones available. The plastic case of the mag is not strong enough to hold the spring under tension inside. The bottoms of the few I have split open. I tried super gluing them back together to no avail. Then the metal retainer clip at the top lets rounds loose all the time. Have to tighten that regularly with pliers. Since these seem to be the only ones I would suggest any buyers only load them up to 5 rounds and be gentle with them. Remington actually included a 5-round mag of the same design with the rifle, that is oddly more robust. Would suggest trying to track those down before relenting to these 10-rounders.

Unacceptable quality. Will not retain cartridges adequately. Cartridges spew out of gun upon inserting magazine. Have been told by parts dealer that tested one in inventory: "same problem".
