This is the best product ...

This is the best product that I have used to get all of the black stuff out of my barrel. Use a patch to put this in your bore. Wait five minutes. Then put about three patches down your barrel and all the carbon is gone. This is a great time saver for me. I've used about everything and this stuff is the fastest. My well-worn Encore barrel fouls really bad. I can clean that thing for an hour and still get dirty patches. This stuff is as easy as the above described procedure. The bolt on my AR gets crusty carbon buildup that usually requires scraping. I put this stuff on the buildup, waited five minutes and then wiped it with a rag. Clean! Very impressive!

I tried this product based on other reviews, and found that KG-1 is absolutely top of the line. I am switching to the entire KG line of cleaners/lubes.

This is probably the best carbon remover on the market. I only use KG products on all of my firearms. I found out that using KG-1, along with KG-2,3 and 4 really help with the overall cleaning and protecting of my rifles. Outstanding product.

I have tried many cleaners with the intent to remove carbon buildup on my AR's.This is by far the best at removing heavy carbon. I have tried Gunzilla, M-Pro System, Hoppes etc. and so far this is has been the best.

I heard a lot of good things about KG products. I currently switched over to using Microlon, Gun Juice and Precision Oil . I wanted to use a hegemonic carbon and copper cleaner, not that I was unsatisfied with the Bore-Tech eliminator, which is a great ALL IN ONE cleaner of all types of fouling. I wanted to see if the KG1 and KG12 where as effective as the tests substantiated, and let me tell you this stuff is by far the best carbon and copper cleaners I have used to date. The Bore Tech Eliminator worked really well on carbon and copper, but the KG12 is in a class by itself. Try it, you won't want to use anything else after you do, nice to see MidwayUSA carries it, where you can get the rest of your goodies.

I'm very impressed with KG's 'KG-1 Carbon remover' Cool , and I'm not easily impressed. I bought some to try out, and wow! Powder/carbon fouling almost seems to practically float away like water on oil. Ran a wet swab down my S&W's M&P 15 bore and black spooge started spilling out ahead of it. Even the areas of common heavy carbon buildup, e.g. rear of bolt, which usually need scraping, just needed a few seconds with a nylon brush. I'm looking forward to trying KG's 'KG-12 Copper Remover', probably try their oil too. I have a brand new untouched quart of Hoppes#9, and it is likely to stay that way.

KG-1 vs BBS (Butch's Bore Shine, which is still my favorite carbon remover!)test?Long test (see my cleaning procedure... below).Bottom line results!- KG-1- Cleaned fouling pretty good, but left a residue... that made dry jagged patch not slide smoothly!BBS- Removed fouling/residue that KG-1 left behind- smooth patch...!~~~My favorite cleaning procedure!-TIP (waiting..., is the trick!)!- When using my favorite BBS (or any other carbon fouling remover). Do this when you start getting "flyers/larger groups" at the range...-1. 3 wet patches (wait 5min between patches!!!).2. Soak brush (nylon doesn't ever get it all!- I prefer Dewey "No Harm" bronze brushes, jags, rods!). a. 15 full slow passes (you will feel it starting to get smooth at about 12 passes...).1. Let sit 5min (minimum!), and follow with X# of dry patches.2.Now do it all again, but should only need 1 wet patch... Note: If still getting black carbon, do it again... (last patch will always be blue, from bronze brush...)!3. Now 1 lightly wetted patch of Eezox Synthetic Gun Oil, followed by 1 dry patch/ let dry 2min.ENJOY!
