I purchased this holster ...

I purchased this holster for my XDM Competition 45 acp that has the 5.25" bbl/slide. This holster is designed for the std XDM which has only a 4.5" bbl. Only a few companies have a holster that will fit the longer bbl of the Competition XDM, and those I viewed seemed to be all made out of Kydex material. This holster has an open muzzle design which I thought would let the longer bbl/slide stick out a little from the bottom of the holster. The pistol fits great frame wise, and the bbl/slide does extend out from the holster about a 1" or so at the open muzzle area. It doesn't affect the drawing of the weapon from the holster for me, no hang ups, just a little longer pull. It is a very well made leather holster that hugs the contour of your body, and will work for concealment on this larger pistol. My holster is the suede lined version, NOT the UNLINED shown here. It works great, and is reasonably priced.
