Great pellet gun for pest ...

Great pellet gun for pest control. The .25 caliber is hard hitting and accurate with the 27 and 31 grain pellets. Nice wood and metal work, love the checkering. For the money you cant go wrong as it comes with a scope and sling. It is kinda heavy and long but for the power and accuracy I can deal with it. Being a magnum nitro it is hold sensative but once you get it down it is very accurate.

I've never owned such a poorly crafted firearm. The trigger pull new out of the box, over 15 lbs. The scope it came with would not hold a group smaller than 8". The forearm splintered into five pieces this afternoon during the cocking procedure. I am currently glueing it back together in hopes of salvaging it long enough to install an after market trigger. In closing, buy a Gamo.The only reason I gave it a one star rating is because it is--- or was, a good looking rifle.........such a dissapointment.

Other than being a little on the heavy side my .25 cal, Benjamin is rite on. It likes Benjamin domed 27.8 grain and the H&N Barracuda 31 grain pellets. If you want a little more speed it will shoot the H&N Target trophy 20 grain pellets but with fair accuracy compaired to the heavier ones past 50 yards. For the folks that experience poor accuracy with a springer or gas ram air rifle more so than not it is the shooter not the rifle. Not saying they are bad shooters just saying springers and gas rams need a loose balanced hold that is very soft in the shoulder. Folks pick this kind of air rifle because of the FPS/power for the dollars spent and think they will shoot well with a rifle hold, this is not the case with reverse recoil guns. I have had mine for better than a year now or about 20 tins of 200 pellets with zero issues. I would give the .25 a 5 stars rating if it were lighter and the first stage of the trigger wasnt so long. For the dollars it cant be beat for a real magnum gas ram air rifle with a wood stock and a nice overall finish.

Cannot find any pellet ...

Cannot find any pellet that gives good accuracy. Left and right hits are good, but verticle are all over the place. It seems that the barrel does not close the same all the time so it delivers about a 8 inch verticle string at 50 feet. I bought this to replace an old air rifle but the old air rifle shoots better than this one. A waste of money.

The picture indicates a heavy barrel this not the case it actually has shroud over a thinner barrel. Also the rifle is made in China I wish this was noted in the product information. I may not be able to find a pellet rifle made in the USA, but I've yet to be impressed with Chinese imports and will keep looking for another 25 caliber. I do pest control for a living and was looking to this to provide more power than my RWS .177. This just doesn't compare in quality to the RWS.

I bought this rifle about a month ago, I am very offended that a rifle like this one could get out of the factory, there is no danger of shooting a squirrel, it would be an accident if you did, it holds about an eight inch pattern at 30 yards. I am using Benjamin domed pellets part of them fit loose in the barrel and goes one way part of them fit about right and go another. I have ordered 3 different types of pellets trying to get this rifle to shoot better. I hope it works, if not, I have a piece of junk. Sincerely, David / Tennessee

Great air rifle and very accurate, got a very nice grouping at 50 yard. Less than .50 inch at that distance,, 1.75 inch at 75 yard.. (could have been better grouping at 75 yard if I had bipod). If you are in for some big hit, power and accurate on target. This is it man. I'll give this Benjamin np xl 725 five stars.

I bought this rifle two months ago. I really like the power this air gun produces. I still haven't found a pellet that will hold a tight enough pattern at thirty yards to suit me. The 26 grain predator polymags do a decent job. I wish Midway would sell these pellets. I have killed several squirrels with this combination. It's devastating to them. I shot one squirrel in the head at thirty yards and it dropped him instantly with an entrant and exit wounds. I have tried .177 and .22 calibers, but the .25 is the best for killing power. With this rifle and the weight of these pellets, it has to be almost as good as a 22 rimfire rifle, but I think it's only good for 40 to 50 yards. Most shots on squirrels is only 15 to 40 yards any who. Buy one and have fun. This rifle can kill bigger animals than squirrels if you hit them in the right spot. The only bad side is that it is a heavy gun to carry in the woods.

I bought my about 1week ago shoot over 400 rds! The trigger needs alot of work and the stock was a little rough! Besides that, it shoots pretty good.
