Product Information

This anodized aluminum buttstock is lighter than a standard stock while still retaining high strength and durability. A closed-cell foam overtube provides a comfortable cheek weld and insulates the shooter's face from vibration and temperature extremes. Stock offers 3 sling positions: right and left behind the receiver (with included sling loop) and at the toe of the butt. Stock is a direct bolt on and includes a 1/2" thick rubber recoil pad and uses a standard A1/A2 receiver extension tube, buffer and spring (not included).

The Ace Skeleton Stock is ...

The Ace Skeleton Stock is a good alternative to the standard AR stock.It works every bit as well, too. Changing out the AR stock was a breeze.The instructions were more than adequate.The Ace stock is well built. I expect it to hold up well under hard use. The Ace stock improves the AR lines quite a bit, in my opinion. It is easy on the cheek because of the padding which covers the recoil tube. I recommend this product heartily!

Arrived with marred up finish and deep nicks in the aluminum. I've had my fill of companies telling me what's right and what's not ---when it's my dollar that's on the line. Let me guess-- this must be another minor manufacturing flaw, and I'm just being unreasonable. I guess there's nothing wrong with paying 100% for a product that arrives in 95% condition, because the structural integrity is fine. But I refuse to give good ratings or promote products for companies that follow that business model. Right is right, and anything else is... not-right. :)

Perfect fit.

Perfect fit I prefer the A1 stock but didn't want the plastic shell. Stock looks good and feels better. A little rubbing from the foam on the charging handle but it does not hang up or bind and tear.

This stock is great for the price. Light yet very robust. I really enjoy the thin tube pad that acts as a very slight cheek rest. Everyone that shoots my AR comments on how they like it.

ACE Buttstock

The fit and finish of the product are perfect plus it was easy to attach to my AR. When I bring the weapon to my shoulder everything lines up for a quick shot, no adjustments or squirming around, just bring up the weapon and touch it off, hole in target.

i was real skeptical cause of some fo the bad reviews, but this thing is the most solid and the lightest stock i've ever had on a AR. im gonna transition out all my magpul ACS and CTR stocks for these. especially for those of us who dont live in a free state and have to make our rifles featureless to run hi-cap mags.

for the record, the CH does not contact the foam pad whatsoever.

but you absolutely have to use KY jelly to get the foam on the tube though.

Easy to install

Fantastic stock, and super easy to put together, The trick is you use compressed air between the tube and foam, it slips on and off as easy as pie, no fuss and absolutely no mess and it will never slip or twist after installed. Just like you would use compressed air to install motorcycle handgrips without any soapy anything!

Awesome product! Super easy to install, rock solid and affordable! I enjoy that I have the option to mount a sling in three different places. I used a little soap/water mixture for buffer tube pad and it slid right on. All the neccessary hardware is included. I watched the installation video on Midway USA's homepage, and yes it is that easy to install. 5 STARS!!!!!

Ok, here's review #2. Since my first experience of having the wrong stock screw shipped with it, I've bought about 4 more. Yes, I did actually get another with the wrong screw. One call and they make it right. I keep extra screws anyway. The same will fit your pistol grip. I think these stocks are excellent for my use. They improve accuracy over most any collapsible without additional weight. I pull a silicon oil soaked rag through the padded tube before installation. It slides right on. I have them on LR .308's, 6.8's and .223/5.56's. Just a great fit for me.

Great rifle stock! Best $65 on my rifle. Don't forget if moving from adjustable carbine stock, you'll need a RIFLE LENGTH buffer tube, spring, and buffer. ConL: Wimpy sling loop, I'm ordering a second loop.

I got this stock for a .50 BMG build that I'm doing, and I really love the way that it continues the tubular appearance of the rifle. I haven't yet tested it with the .50 shells, but it handled extremely well during .223 testing. The recoil pad is comfortable, as is the foam cheek rest. I like that you have four different mounting positions for the sling swivel. I would recommend that you liberally lube up the buffer tube before trying to install the foam pad though (I used Hoppes), as I was struggling to get the pad to slide over the tube without it. Once on, the fit is tight and solid.

I gave this product a five star rating due to the excellent quality & fit & absolute ease of installation. As other have said a little lubricant on the buffer housing makes the install very easy.
