I installed the Store-Arm ...

I installed the Store-Arm Forend along with the Choate Varmint Buttstock on my .500 S&W Mag. NEF Handi-Rifle. Both of these stocks have compartments available and I added sock bags filled with bird shot to each for adding weight to this light rifle and reduced the recoil of the that thumping caliber. This worked well. The stocks are finished well, they fit well. The take down knob is handy on the forearm. It requires no screw driver. The swivel stud out on the end of the forearm rather than underneath the end of the forearm is a big plus when shooting from a rest as that way there is nothing to catch and yank on the rest when the rifle recoils. The cost is low and this is a solid good looking product.

Very adequate product for ...

Very adequate product for price. Attractive finish. In my application product is fitted to N.E.F. Pardner Model 20 ga. shotgun. Adequate fit to metal at the action hinge. 10" long rectangular, checkered, grip surface. No sharp edges or seams. Very light weight. Durable. Some flexing evident at sling attachment end. Quick release sling attachment stud only. No sling attachment provided. Storage compartments are not water tight. Attachment thumb screw is not "captured." Screw may fall out when stock is removed. Rear storage compartment (behind screw) = 1" x 1" x 2 7/8". Forward storage compartment (forward of screw) = 1" x 1" x 5 1/2" divided with a sliding and removable partition. Two thumb screws are provided to accommodate correct screw thread pitch of newer and older model firearms. Color, texture and checkering pattern compatible with Choate "Tamer" butt stock.

This item goes well with the Choate buttstock. What was a little disapointing was the fit between the barrel and forend. I really do not like all that gap. But, at least it will not hold moisture against the barrel. All in all.... a good product. Probably better than the wood.
FYI... I have Choate products on several guns now. I am either happy to extreamly happy with all thier products.

to only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because of how the shells rattle around. I just taped them down which works fine.

I have this storage forend stock on three of my single shot shotguns, two NEF 20 gauge and an NEF 12 gauge shotgun and they work great. I have extra shells stored in them and/or matches, pocket knife. It takes no tools to install or to take the stock off and affords a good grip when shooting three inch Magnum shells. Cool item and I back my words up with having purchased three of them. They come with a course thread and fine thread screw so no matter if your shotgun is old or new because one or the other screw will fit the barrel lug.

If I could give no stars I would. The thing does not fit at all on my 10/12 H&R. Thought I could alter it just a little so it would fit but no way. Wish I never touched it so I could return it.

Third forend I've used on 3 different bbl sizes. This forend works well on 20 ga, 223, and really well on heavy bbl 17 hornady rimmfire. Gives more control and ballance. Highly recommended.

This is the forearm to have! Very well made and very comfortable. Facilitates easy takedown, without tools, of either shotgun or rifle. I put it on all of my H&R/NEF guns. Recommend highly.
