Product Information

The BSA Boresighter makes sighting in a gun much easier by aligning a scope's reticle with the barrel, getting you on paper before you even get to the range. It comes with 15 arbors for use with rifles. Works for 177 pellet guns (not for 17 rimfire or centerfire barrels) all the way up to 50 caliber. Includes a protective hard plastic case.

.177 - (Will not fit .172 groove diameter rimfire or centerfire barrels. Examples are the 17 Remington, 17 HMR, 17 HM2. The arbor in this kit will not work in these barrels.)

I have had one of these for a couple of years now and I can only say I LOVE IT! Before getting this thing I dreaded changing or adding scopes to any of my rifles or pistols. Now it is painless, at least as sighting in is concerned.I tried the muzzle mounted laser types and was not satisfied, could do better just looking through the tube with the bolt removed. The laser kind that were held in the chamber were expensive and didn't work with many of my guns.I am not impressed with BSA scopes, but this BSA product is worth every penny.It takes only a couple minutes to have the scope within a couple inches at a 100 yards. No more shooting at 10 yards, than 25, then 100 and so on. Very little shooting at all required! Paid for itself in ammo alone and I reload!I bought it specifically for one job and have used it countless times since. I find that I am more willing to change out scopes, upgrade and so on since the job has become much less painful.Just remember that the scope adjustments will be reversed (up is down, left is right) and that this is normal. You also need considerable light in front of the scope and LER scopes are a bit of a trick but you get used to it. Make sure you have a good, solid mount for the pistol.It can even be used with red dots but the sighting grid will appear VERY small so it's not as accurate. Still better than the manual alternative (removing the bolt and looking down the tube) and much cheaper than laser types if they work at all.If you mount more than one scope a year, this thing is a must. Heck, even for one good scope on a decent firearm with expensive ammo it's worth it!

Spuds fit poorly in ...

Spuds fit poorly in Barrels.No real improvement over a 25 year old unit I have, which works better. Suggest buying boresighter with expandable arbor(bushnell) or laser boresighter. Leave this one alone.

I had wanted an optical bore sighter for years. I bought this one on sale. I have used other bore sighter and mounted many scopes. This produst did not get me on the paper. It waqs off by feet not inches. Worse than not using one at all. I wrote the company. I don't know what thay are going to do

Im not one to post negative reviews but I will say this is the worst money I ever spent. This kit is useless because the arbors are trash. The actual boresighter is nice but the weak springs and loose fitting arbors cause looseness and sagging producing a useless kit. Save you money and get a laser.

I wish I had read all the way to the bottom of the "Comments". The .22 arbor is very loose or much too short to snug into a .223 barrel with flash hider. Also you cannot even see the boresighter if you have a A2 front sight attached.Totally useless on my AR-15 which is the reason I ordered it. I will be buying a laser tomorrow.

This is the worst product I have ever had. The arbors willnot stay aligned with the scope. A weak spring that is supposed to hold the arbor in place does not work like it is supposed to.

I've never owned a boresighter for a rifle before and after using this junky bsa boresighter kit, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. It's a flimsy setup. I find the pins fit loose in the barrel and I had a hell of a time just trying to hold the sighter mechanism from turning! What a piece of junk! Dont buy one!

Just received this unit today and rushed to use it. Major problem...I have three Savage LE rifles with muzzle breaks and the caliber specific spuds are too short to pass through the muzzle break and properly engage the bore. On standard rifles barrels it pretty much works as advertised.Another three inches and I'd be a happy camper.

At first appears seems OK BUT Spuds fit poorly in barrels. Moves all over the place can not get same point of impact on grid as will move the entire grid depending on how you insert the studs each time. I tried it on various barrels from 22 to 30 cal. The arbors are poorly made and the spring clip will cause it to jump around depending if a rifling in the barrel is in the way. This a product to stay away from here.

I am disappointed that there is not an arbor that will fit the 204 Ruger caliber. I contacted BSA and they said that they will probably not be making one unless there are enough people demanding it.
