I purchased this trigger ...

I purchased this trigger as an upgrade to my factory X-Mark Pro. I purchased it knowing that it would not have a safety, and had come to terms with that. What I was not aware of, is that it was not compatible with a bolt release -- Which means, you either remove your bolt stop all together, or you leave the bolt stop in, and only remove your bolt when you take the action out of its stock. Unfortunately, the product description does not mention this here, or on Timney's website - not to mention, the instructions don't even acknowledge the existence of a bolt stop. Unfortunately, I had the trigger already installed before I realized the compatibility issue.

Had the trigger for about a year now, this thing consistently breaks like a glass rod at 4 oz , the set screw did come a little loose when I first started shooting it, but nothing a little LOCTITE dident fix.

I purchased this trigger ...

I purchased this trigger to replace the X mark pro trigger in my new Rem 700 Tactical. After installing the trigger, I had all sorts of trigger issues. After reading the adjustment procedure I ended up with a very nice crisp trigger that breaks at 6.7 oz. The only problem I had was the screw that retains the actual trigger will not tighten down enough to keep tight. Still can move by hand. Not that big of a deal since it does not move when pulling the trigger. Mostly an observation. The trigger can be adjusted for cant. Left and right for different shooters. I'll probably contact Timney and get another screw. That was the only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars. If a new screw tightens down I would give it a 6 star review. Too bad there is no safety or bolt stop now.

I purchased this trigger ...

I purchased this trigger to replace the X-Mark Pro trigger on my Remington 700 SPS Varmint Rifle. With Hornady A-Max 168gr Match .308 Ammunition I shot a .5 to .875 MOA group. Now with the new trigger I am down to a .375 .456 MOA group. The trigger breaks very clean and is fully adjustable. Best money I've spent on the rifle. This is a DIYS project, just remember how the bolt release spring goes!

This trigger is very ...

This trigger is very good. There are only a couple small reasons that it did not get the last star from me. The first is that after the trigger has been fired, it does not stay tight. What I mean by this is the shoe, bar it adjusts on and lower portion of the trigger mechanism has some movement after fired. This does not occur before it is fired. The trigger pull is crisp, clean, with no slack or takeup and breaks at a touch over 2oz. The adjustability of the trigger for position for me is a big plus. I did have to trim the trigger back to fit in the trigger bow because it was too long, but this was only because I was using an aftermarket stock. A lack of safety is disappointing but for its cost with the features it has it's reasonable. I like the straight trigger and plan on buying another when I put together my next target rifle.
