Ok, Here's the deal for the money it's great. I have used $1000 scope's before and they are great, but after not shooting my rifle about 2 1/2 years, and transporting my rifle across the US (a few time's) my zero held solid. I tested it at about 200 meters and destroyed a beer can, they next day took a buck clean. The weak spot, limited light. You get what you pay for if you are going to shoot at night or dusk, but come daylight it does what it needs to, and it's cheap. I have had mine for about 9 years, without one problem.

First used scope with a 22 WMR rifle. Worked well at 100 yards. Put scope on Remington 700P (308) and had problems. I shot between 100 and 500 yards and never found the scope to return even close to its zero. Lens popped loose after under 100 rounds of 308 ammo. Unable to focus reticle. I took great care of the scope and it failed in several ways.

Buyer Beware. When I first bought this scope I was quite pleased with myself for getting such a nice clear scope for so little money. I put it on a 10/22 and such a couple of bricks of bullets through it. Then the lens popped loose and it would no longer focus. I sent it off and they warranted it and sent me another. It lasted only a short time before the cross hares started spinning when you adjusted the power. It is now my daughters "spyglass"

I own three old world Class, real good scopes, but the new one that I just got is junk right out of the box, leaking around the eye bell, won't hold zero for nothing, fuzzy, am sending it back to Tasco

Purchased about 7 years ago. 1st developed loose lense. Warranty people tightened lense. Then focus could not obtained. Warranty people sent new scope obviously different from first and it has been flawless!

Definitely not the ...

Definitely not the brightest scope that I've ever owned. It provides a clear picture without any distortion around the edges, but is possesses a brown, smog-like picture also, like the pollution you see over LA or Denver! It zeroed OK on a Savage 110 .243 Winchester. If you are on a budget you are better off getting a Simmons 8-Point, which is much brighter and nicer looking, and costs the same give or take a few bucks.Or, if you can afford an additional $20-50, get a Simmons Master Series Prohunter or Prosport.
