I used this rail mount ...

I used this rail mount for my DPMS 20" Hbar A3 Upper (also purchased from Midway - great upper) and it couldn't have been easier. The one thing to take into account is that the rail will mount around the middle of the handguard rather than right by the magwell, since there are no holes all the way through the handguard on that portion. This works well with the ProMag foregrip for my AR and gives a solid shooting grip. Just buy one already!

Terrific piece of machining, mounts in a few minutes and lines up perfectly with the (Bushmaster) carbine handguards. I just wish they made it a 5" for the carbine model, as the 4" rail only uses about 75% of the space available and makes having a grip and light at the same time a bit tight.

I have had 2 of these mounted on a couple of my AR's for several years now and they have performed well.Easily installed and solid, if all you need is a rail for a forward grip or a light but don't really need a full 4 rail hand guard these are a far less expensive alternative. I use mine to mount a Sure Fire Light on and it holds it solid enough for any application I am likely to run into.Quality product, well made, easily installed and solid mount once on.RemMax
