Product Information

The Vortex Viper Rifle Scope comes with features that are typically only included on scopes in a much higher price range. The optics are fully multi-coated and deliver beautiful detail and color while transmitting 95% of available light. Audible clicks allow for precise adjustments to windage and elevation and the tube is purged with Argon gas which eliminates internal fogging and extends the life of the optics. This is a wonderful scope for hunting. Protective lens covers and a lifetime factory warranty are included.

I tested a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 back in 08. I was really impressed with the glass and features, but they didn't have the reticle I wanted for my application. Now they have a BDC and a mil-dot available. In 2010 I bought one from Midway with a Plex reticle for a rimfire rifle. I had a great customer service experience with Vortex on 4/21/2011. I sent them the one with the Plex reticle to have it changed to BDC. They had told me 3-4 business days to turn it around. They got it mid-morning and that afternoon it was on the fedex truck on its way back to me. I will end up with 2 of the BDCs; the converted one and a new one from Midway. One will go on my .264 LBC upper and the other on my.204 Ruger upper.

Great optic especially ...

Great optic especially for the price. I have it mounted on a new Savage 111 in 7mm Mag. The BDC reticle measures exactly as it should on a 100 yard target; 1.5 MOA is right at 1.5". I haven't ran a box test on it but I'm sure it will come back to zero as in the 60 or so rounds I've put through it, I can easily retain the initial zero when I'm dialing for elevation.

Great scope great price. Very clear and will hold zero while tracking. Nice weight for control of a grendel 19.5" or simular AR-15 clones.

This scope holds true. It takes the pounding and recoil of my .338 win mag very well. This scope is without doubt comparable to scopes costing two to four times as much. Such as the "L" and "Euro" scopes. I also "Q ans A" their customer service before purchasing. They have a competent and courteous staff. A past problem with a competitor who's services do not come close. Lifetime coverage and transferable. I wish I had waited since they now offer a mil-dot and tactical line costing a bit more but I'd bet they are worth every penny and more. I expect more to come like more specialized reticles. Designs features like the view-mag really does encourage you to stop the head bobble when determining mag settings. Target knobs are also well designed.

Good glass, scope shot the "box" with no problems Returned to zero. When zeroed at 100 yards with bullet speed of 2450 fps Bdc was right on all the way to 500 yards. I am ordering a second one for another rifle.

Fabulously clear glass / high quality scope. Tracks well and the pull-to-zero knobs are great. No maufacturing flaws or blemishes. Prefer a mil-line type reticle, but the BDC reticle is not bad. Cross-hairs on the BDC reticle are a little thick for fine target use. Parallax settings closely track numbers marked on knob, unlike some other scopes.
