Use on Varmint AR. OK but ...

Use on Varmint AR. OK but no Leupold. Sighting is good and holds zero but does not produce the lighting that the gold ring company has. Do not attempt to use in darker or dusk conditions. Optics are good to 300 yards then get very fuzzy after this. Used for ground hogs and would probably pop for better scope next time.

Excellent scope for my ...

Excellent scope for my purposes. There is definitely a glass quality difference here when compared to Leupold VX-2's and 3's. Out to about 400 yards there isn't enough difference to matter, but once I get beyond that I can certainly tell the Sightron doesn't resolve quite as well as Leupold. It is also a little darker - not enough to matter for hunting purposes though. I would rate the glass somewhere around a Nikon Buckmaster or almost a Leupold VX-2. However, I use this scope for F-class shooting, and it is great for that. The turrets track perfectly, and the scope will hold zero well. The radial numbers on the turrets could be a little easier to read, but they are good enough for me to quickly and easily dial in any range I want from 100 to 1000 (enough adjustment in the scope to get both ranges - can't do that with Nikon!) and expect to be very close to the X. The clicks are positive and audible. Eye relief is great for my purposes. At my last match I was shooting with temps in the 40's and a drizzling rain. I had both my turret covers exposed. At the end of the match I went home and dried everything off, and next day went back to the range to check for problems, and the scope was perfect and continued to track perfectly. 4 stars because resolution is lacking. 5 stars for any other measure of a rifle scope.

Unfortunately I can not ...

Unfortunately I can not recommend this scope. All my other Sightrons have been good but the click adjustments in this scope are all over the place. Sometimes one click moves the point of impact 1/4 inch, sometimes it moves it more. No way has one clicked ever moved the POI 1/8th of an inch as the specs indicate. This one is going back for a replacement. Liked everything else about the scope but the imprecise adjustments have me wondering if the cross hairs are moving which will affect the accuracy of my rifle.
