The Jard trigger produces a crisp, clean trigger pull with adjustments for overtravel and sear engagement. Requires fitting and installation by a qualified gunsmith. This trigger also allows for the replacement of the trigger spring. Changing the spring will change the trigger pull weight, allowing you to customize the trigger to meet your specific shooting requirements. For more information on installation and use please view the Ruger 10/22 Trigger System Operators Instruction Manual.

I received my order today and was really disappointed. The finish is really terrible. It would be a shame to replace the original trigger with this. I won't even bother to install it to my ruger 10/22.

If the function of the ...

If the function of the trigger internals themselves was all I was rating, Id give it 5 stars. However, my first impression when opening the box was "chincy". The fit and finish is on par with a typical Chinese SKS. On installation, the cross pin holes were undersized, and misaligned with the receiver. I had to put it on an action jig, and drill the holes to match. After getting it installed, I noticed the bolt stop was stuck in the raised position, and would not spring back. I took it back out, disassembled the mag release and bolt stop, and had to open up the soft aluminum body groove which was pinching it. Finally back together and installed, I put a factory mag in, and had to disassemble it again to get it out. The design of the mag release is atrocious. Additionally, the opening of the mag well is now several thousandths shorter, requiring relieving in the receiver detent, and fitting of the factory magazine. I will have to custom sand and polish each of my magazines to fit with this trigger assembly. It is however, very crisp with little creep, and breaks cleanly at 14-16 oz. I just expected a lot more for a trigger assembly that costs as much as a new rifle

I ordered this trigger ...

I ordered this trigger pack a few days ago and received it today. It was very simple to install and gave an extremely crisp, light, and creep free trigger pull. The only reason I did not give it a five star rating was is because of the way the mag release is set up. It basically prevented me from using the extended, high capacity mags because the magazine would not lock in place properly. The little hole in the release is too small so you will either have to modify the hole and make it bigger (by boring out the hole and making it slightly larger) or taking a file and carefully making the little pin at the back of the magazine a smaller diameter. One other thing you need to be careful with this trigger is that the pull is so light, you will have to warn people who are going to use your rifle that the gun is so sensitive. I love this Jard trigger, but I think for my next 10/22 project, I will go with a slightly heavier trigger pull (probably a 2lb trigger) to avoid accidentally "double tapping" the trigger.

This thing is awesome - ...

This thing is awesome - way worth it - would recommend this over the Volquartsen trigger assembly. The mag release was a bit weird but you get used to it real quick - very nice product! If I ever get another .17 or .22 Ruger this would be one of the first things I put on it way better than ANY of the Volquartsen or power-custom parts kits. This thing rocks - Varmints beware!

Very, very sweet setup. ...

Very, very sweet setup. My gun has a Magnum Research carbon fiber wrapped, .920, 17" long barrel, Hogue stock, Leupold 2-7X RF special in Talley rings. The gun weighs next to nothing and shoots half to 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with HV HP hunting ammo. This trigger really tops it off well. Takes it from "crusty plinker" to severely sweet. It is light enough I want to be a little careful who I loan it to and give them a little coaching ahead of time.The only disconcerting thing is the magazine release works the opposite direction from what I'm used to, and 77/22 mags don't drop out too well. Factory 10/22 mags are fine.I would definitely do it again. Having done it once, I can't see owning a 10/22 without one of these.
