The oil itself is great, but the spray bottle is a menace. The spray head shoots out a narrow stream, which is difficult to aim, and squirts & splashes all over. The pump button also sticks, so you squeeze carefully to get a little, and nothing happens until it slips & hoses down everything in sight. It's both messy & wasteful.

Really is great stuff for cleaning and lube! I Believe it's Synthetic that's what makes it so long lasting. I used it on my Mossberg 500 after 3 years of using Hoppes & after 2 days I'm still wiping gunk out that is seeping from those hard to reach spots.

This is a good lube. It's not a thin oil, but more like a gel. It's viscous enough to seep into recesses and get between parts. Seems to lubricate well and my pistols cleaned up very easily after firing. Does not burn off and smoke like a petroleum based oil. What is it made of? Who knows.

I conducted a carefully controlled test to determine which gun oil best prevents rust on 416 stainless steel in a hot, humid, salty environment. I tested 10 different oils, including Rem Oil, Hoppe's, Gunslick, Break Free, Browning, and even WD-40. The results clearly showed Slip 2000 performed the best. It was the only oil that completely prevented any rust after 14 days of testing. I've been using Slip 2000 for almost 2 years on all my guns and rifles. I haven't seen any rust despite living in FL humidity. My guns seem to operate a bit smoother, especially the semi-autos. Theres no smell and it doesn't dry or thicken after several months of storage. Slip 2000 is good stuff, I don't think I'll ever use anything else.
