I received this holster ...

I received this holster earlier this week and am very impressed with it. Well-constructed and appears as though it should last a life time. There is a bit of a felt lining in the holster, which is why I order this holster for my nickel plated Colt Delta Elite. I don't want scratches and the felt should eliminate that problem. Gun fit and retention is very good. I definitely recommend this holster for those who want a reasonable priced holster for a full size Colt.

I was quite impressed ...

I was quite impressed with the quality of this holster. While this holster fits my Colt Gov't 5" sidearm, the photo is inaccurate. I was looking for a holster that the barrel protruded like the photo. This specific holster completely conceals the tip of the 5". According to Ross, the holster is supposed to completely cover the barrel. I found this out after the holster arrived. Again it's the photo that is inaccurate.

Excellent, as are all (5) of my other Ross holsters. Holds the gun tight and close, without the need for a thumb strap. And if you live in a warm climate you'll really appreciate the extra "shield" leather that protects both the gun from your body, and your body from the gun. Exactly what I wanted in a 1911 pancake holster.

This holster was found to ...

This holster was found to be well constructed and made of quality materials. It is double stitched where it needs to be and seems very durable. The holster is made for 5" barrel pistols, but works just as well with 4". I purchased this holster for its flexibility for carrying both lengths. If one is concerned with maximum concealability for a 4" 1911, I would look for a holster made especially for that pistol. This holster holds tight against the body and the "body shield" at the top of the holster makes for a nice separation between you and your 1911. The holster is suede lined, holds the pistol securely and is a very good bargain.
