This stuff is the best for copper fouling. Have to leave it in the bore for an hour (may need to leave it in longer for the first time if there is significant build up), but then the copper just swaps out with a patch, no brushing. Safer than ammonia based solvents. Try it. The manufacturer has a money back guarantee, but you won't use it.

It may be good for rifle bores (I never tried it), but I tried it on my 2 S&W 44 SS 629's. After cleaning as per instructions I dried the bores and cylinders with patches. I keep my pistols loaded. One was loaded with factory shells, and the other with reloads. After 3 days, I was checking on one of the pistols, and noticed the shells were bloched heavily black. I realised Wipe-Out was eating/reacting with the brass. I then cleaned them (bores and cylinders)with Barnes CR-10 and a nylon brush, then washed the pistols in isopropl alcohol and blew them with compressed air. I then oiled them in and out with outters oil. Much to my amazement they both turned shell casings black again. Obviously this Wipe-out is hard to get rid of. I called the company, and they were convinced I was a complete idiot. They refused to give me a refund even though I have a reciept and the unused portion (and after saying their product was guaranteed). I only asked they pay the shipping back. The company owner told me to return it to the store and have them call him.

After the great reviews I bought some and tried it. Like the bottle says I cleaned a gun that I thought was already clean and..... the patch came out clean. Today I did the reverse, cleaned with wipe-out as per the instructions. Than I put some Barnes cr-10 on a patch and down the barrel, a nice blue patch came out. I will return to my old cleaning methods.

WAYYYY over rated. Tried this and several other foaming barrel cleaners. Try this if you dare.. Clean as per directions. Do it once. Do it twice. Leave it over night. Then, break out a clean bronze or nylon brush (gasp) and what ever solvent you used before you tried this latest fad in snake oil. Brush barrel a few strokes. Push a clean patch through after. TONS OF FOULING WILL BE FOUND !!

Eexcellent stuff. used it with the accelerator on a Mosin. I had worked hours and hours trying to clean this barrel using everything I have... Sweets, butches bore shine, hoppes, gold medal, flitz, even pure ammonia but it still had such stubborn metal fouling that it was pulling fibers from the patches and wearing out brushes in just a few passes - literally seconds. Used this - and it took several applications over a couple days but that barrel is finally clean and smooth. There were a couple really stubborn spots - I concluded there was slivers of metal lodged in the rifling that finally came out once this had dissolve enough fouling to uncement them. How do I know? I found the slivers on a patch! I figure there must be some alloys that are impervious to copper solvents. Bronze? Tin? I have no idea what metal it is but is it stubborn! This stuff continues to eat away at long after other products surrender. Modern guns are childs play - 1 application and done.

Used this on an old Russian Nagant and it found copper in a clean bore. Its made a believer out of me. First patch was the color of new blue jeans. I have never used it alone - always with the accelerator. This stuff is not for your skin or eyes be careful and protect yourself. I would suggest you use gloves and safety glasses, outdoors or in the garage. It stains my nitrile gloves in a hurry. Follow the directions - an hour is the minimum. I left it in over night.

This seems to be a credible cleaning product - good for copper fouling, mediocre for powder/carbon cleanup. The nature of the foam - which keeps expanding for some time after application - plus the poor design of the application nozzle means that foam often ends up in places where it isn't wanted - like in the action. I'll pass on an otherwise useful product until the manufacturer improves applicator.

Great product with a crappy spout, I will be buying more of this as it works great when used overnight as directed....however...They need to redesign the spout as it leaks after the first couple of uses.

I wish I could give this product more stars. I've tried using other so called copper solvents, with much annoying brushing and still had failure to remove copper deposits. This wipe out stuff pulls all the copper out of the bore, and all you need to do is patch it a couple times.

Bought this for my Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. Cleaner works great, only takes me 3-4 patches after a weekend of shooting to clean my gun. (Let it soak over night if you want best results)

I have used many products from Butch's, Hoppe's, Montana X-Treme Copper Killer to good old US issue CLP. This is amazing. I was really excited to use it in my 50 BMG thats where the cleaning time was really cut. I stopped shooting the BMG purely because I was sick of cleaning it. This last session after 50 rounds down the tube I let the product sit for 24 hrs with the accelerator patched a few patches brushed a dozen times repeated another 24 hrs same with patches and brushing. I went from 5+ hours of scrubbing and scrubbing with a pile of patches and worn brush to a total of actual time cleaning to 1 hour and 15 patches! Now I actually want to shoot the 50 more and stopped considering selling it just from using this product. By the way 50 rds of 50 bmg is a ton of copper to clean. I would have been there hours even with the copper killer "especially formulated for 50 bmg". I have also used it on ARs (5.56, 6.5mm, 7mm and .308 calibers) SKS's, and Bolt action rifles all cutting the cleaning time in half if not more. I put it in the bore, then clean the bolt and carrier while it soaks by the time the rest of the rifle is cleaned (about 1 hour) the bore is ready for cleaning a few patches maybe a dozen nylon brush strokes followed up by patches with Butch's and the rifles are literally spotless inside. It does take at least 1 hour to work properly. I can not say enough good about this product buy 2 bottles with the accelerator!
