The Barrett REC7 6.8 SPC A3 flattop upper assembly is a complete pin-on upper any standard AR-15 lower. The REC7 upper features an innovative gas piston assembly with a fluted gas chamber, one-piece stainless gas piston and ant-tilt bolt carrier with an integrated gas key. The bolt and bolt carrier are nickel Teflon coated for increased lubricity and easy cleaning, every bolt is also MP tested and proofed. The two position gas regulator has a suppressed and un-suppressed setting for increased reliability when using suppressors. The gas block adjustment can be made without removing the handguard assembly, so optics and accessories will not be disturbed. The handguard is a Daniel Defense Omega X quad railed free floating unit. The upper receiver is a forged 7075 aluminum, with mil-spec type 3 anodizing, with M4 cuts for reliable feeding. The 16" barrel is hammer forged and chrome lined with a 1 in 10" twist, the barrel has extended M4 feed ramp cuts, with an A2 flash hider.
