In inclement weather, deep cover, shadows, dusk or dawn conditions, fully coated lenses will greatly increase target definition. Other features include 1/2 MOA click windage and elevation adjustments and solid waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction. All ProHunter Pistol Scopes are covered under a factory limited lifetime warranty.

I mounted this scope on a T/C Contender in .375 JDJ. I figured if the recoil was going to destroy a scope, then it had to be a less expensive one. Well was I surprised. The scope has stood up to over five hundred rounds of full blown rounds! I called Simmons and inquired as to the mounting of this scope on such a heavy recoiling gun. They told me that the lifetime warranty stood no matter what I mounted it on. If it continues to stand up as it has so far, I'll never have to use the warranty.

This is NOT a scope for a high power handgun. I have a T/C Encore in .460 S&W, that eats these scopes for breakfast. Had 2, neither one lasted 100 rnds, My mounts have 4 rings, and last scope, the crosshairs evaporated after 30 rnds of factory ammo. Save your money, this is a 22 scope.

I cannot recommend this scope to anyone who wishes to use it on a heavy recoiling handgun. I put this scope on my .480 Ruger Super Redhawk and it will not hold a zero. The scope does have clear optics and quality fit and finish. Unfortunately, it failed miserably in actual use. Might be fine for a rimfire or other low recoil gun. BTW - I called Simmons/Bushnell for technical guidance. The representative told me that this scope is rated for .44 mag and below. They recommended I exchange it for a Bushnell scope supposedly rated up to .500 S&W Mag. I decided against that and I've ordered a Leupold.

I bought this scope for my t/c encore 44mag pistol and one for my 270 barrel mounted booth, after reading all the reviews where people were saying they were using it on their 375 mag-30-06-357-and so on I thought this would be a great fit (not) 12 shots through my 44 fogged up and blew the cross hairs out. Changed barrel to 270- 2 shots and it only got worse scoped fogged pieces rattling in side, sent booth back and will stick with open sites. Would not rate above a 22cal

Scope held up good ...

Scope held up good through sight in of 12 rounds of 445 Supermag in a 12" Contender. After 21 more fairly heavy loads, the power ring was stuck and made objects look a mile away. I'll send it to Simmons for repair and try one more time.

Absolutely a piece of garbage, 2nd scope, same model on a 460 S&W Encore, Firing MODERATE loads, 60 rnds total. Both scopes in the trash. Maybe good for a .22, but as a hunting handgun scope, it just plain does not work!! I wish i could rate at MINUS 5!!!

I used this scope on a TCA encore prohunter 243 win. I shot 100 plus rounds through it and it held strong. I now have it on a Ruger 22 charger and I can hold a 2 inch group @ 100 yards with no trouble. I even had this scope on a S&W 22a and it done a fine job knocking squirrels and coons out of the tree. Good scope for the money.

Called Simmons in advance to confirm it would handle the recoil of my SRH 480. After a 100 or so sounds, the crosshairs rotated clockwise within the scope. I've shipped it back to Simmons and I'm waiting to get it back.

I now have 3 of these scopes mounted on handguns from .22 to .35 cal. Very clear optics and very easy to find center. Some handgun scopes require a magic trick to see through. I'm ordering another one now.
