This Picatinny-style base features a sturdy, cross-slot design that offers multiple mounting points on a single base. Accepts Mil-Spec Picatinny-style rings or Optic/Accessory mounts, as well as most Weaver-style rings. This base mounts directly to an AR-15 carry handle.

I just got this for my ...

I just got this for my Bushamaster A3M4. I like that I don't have to remove my carry handle and can actually mount a red dot sight above my fixed front sight. The view is completely unobstructed. The red dot sight that I had shipped with this product fits snuggly and has no wiggle at all. The walls are nice and thick making this a very sturdy product. I haven't had a chance to range test this yet but I looked down the sights and I can clearly see down them. The only thing that conncerned me was how tight it went on to my carry handle. It seemed like it didn't want to fit at first. After a little wiggling and carefull pressing to get it seated flat though, it went on without much more issue.

I like that this base is ...

I like that this base is very inexpensive. It is also nice that with the base on (even with a scope mounted), you can still use the iron sights on your AR. However, I purchased some Weaver brand Quad-Lock 4X4 Aluminum Rings and they did not work. No matter how tight I went, the rings still wiggled on this base. I am not sure if the problem is the rings or the base. Still, be aware that all rings might not work on this base. Perhaps it is because this is a Picatinny-style base and I tried to use weaver style rings.
