I bought this for my mossberg 930 spx and it fits great, very tight in the front with the two clamps but I needed to cut the two tabs at the rear to fit the barrel... Overall I'm satisfied with the product, the edges are smooth but I feel the screws are too small, I used blue thread locker to hold them...

The heatshield fit my 1300 Defender barrel perfectly with zero tinkering to get it to fit. The screws, however, are indeed way too short. A quick trip to the hardware store corrected that issue, which is why this product only gets 4 stars. The correct size screws are 4-40 3/8"

This did not work for my 1300 defender. The shield itself is constructed fine, but the screws that secure the clamps to the heat shield are about 1/8" too short. I could not get the unit secure on the barrel. Might work on a 1200, but I believe the barrels share the same contour. Never thought I'd say this, but buy the Advanced Technology heat shield. It's the better unit.
