Product Information

The Troy Industries T22 Sport Chassis is a kit designed for Ruger 10/22 rifles to give the feel and appearance of AR-15 style rifles. The Chassis is built to the same high standards as all of the Troy products with aircraft aluminum and Mil-Spec type-3 anodized finish. The T22 chassis feature an M4 style adjustable buttstock and pistol grip. The free floating forend has a continuous top rail for mounting optics and other accessories with integrated spring loaded Battlesights. The holes in the forearm will accept the TRX Extreme accessory rails for additional rail space. The chassis is compatible with standard and bull profile barrels.

Overall it is a great chassis for the 10/22. It has a really solid feel to it, but doesn't add a lot of extra weight and bulk to the 10/22. The hand-guard is very trim and allows rail attachments where you want them. It makes the 10/22 feel more like a AR-15. But make sure you put blue loc tite on the screws that clamp the hand-guard to the receiver portion of the chassis, because I did have the hand-guard slide off when I didn't use loc tite.

This is a very high quality all aluminum chassis that is finished in black paint. Be aware that the 10/22 receiver fits VERY tight in the Troy chassis. I scratched my new Ruger receiver and Volquartsen trigger housing up installing it. The tightness can be an asset though as everything is very solid and has no play. On the other hand, the tightness makes it very hard to disassemble for cleaning and the Ruger receiver will have alot of wear marks. The black finish on the chassis scratches easily and wont take well to rough handling. The front hand guard is one piece with the full length top weaver rail. It clamps to the lower assembly, but has an extremely tight fit, so it shouldnt move and effect the optics zero. When assembled, the look is very tactical akin to the AR-15. The only clue that it once was a 10/22 is the magazine. Fully assembled, the rifle handles easy and the weight is nicely balanced. The weaver rail readily accepts optics. I tried a red dot and a Leupold scope. Both mounted nicely and functioned well.
