I have one of these that is 20 -30 years old and it still works very well. The sore hand problem was cured by turning an aluminum collar that covers the points. it is about 1/4 inch wide and just covers the points and leaves the front open and gives extra gripping diameter. I left the tool in the freezer while turning the .620 ID, heated the collar and then tapped the tool inside the collar and finished pressing together in my vice.

It works fine, but the metal leaves black grime on my hands. No such trouble with the Hornady tool, which I slightly prefer.

Switched to this tool from the Lee product that came in a kit. I really appreciate the larger size and the quality of this product. I'm using it to chamfer .45Colt and it's working great.

I have used this on .223, 30-30, 30-06, and it works great on all of them. Tried chucking it in a drill and it works well if I go slow. Chatters if I go too fast, or hold it at the wrong angle. I spent a little time figuring it out, and it works well for me now.

I purchased this tool when I began handloading in 1960. I have used it on many thousand of cartridges since then; from 6.5MM to .375 cal. To say this tool is durable is an understatement. It remains as sharp as the day I purchased it. I will not load a cartridge without first using this tool. Buy one, it will last forever.

I've had other tools for this job, but none that worked as well. The outside edge comes clean simply with 2 twists. Other tools left the edge "chattered" for lack of a better word. The inside cutter cleans up even easier. Ordered it simply because their case cutter worked so darn good!

I will start by saying that this is the best chamfer and deburring tool I ever owned. Like many here I started with the crummy Lee tool, then tried RCBS and Lyman and now I finally stumbled upon LE Wilson and I am ecstatic. The tool has six cutting surfaces. This means you only need to move your wrist slightly and a full 360 cut is done. The body of the tool is made of solid steel, it feels good and affords a great grip that allows you to work many cases before hand fatigue sets in. With my Lee tool, I could do 6 cases in a row and then the hand would start hurting. The RCBS tool feels similar to the hand due to its nearly identical size, however, it requires more pressure against the case to make the similar cuts to the LE Wilson. The only tool that somewhat felt better in my hand was the Lyman and that was due to the large handle. With the LE Wilson tool I breezed through 100 cases of military-crimp 308. It must have taken me no more than 10 minutes, and I did it at a leisurely pace. Could there be something done about this tool to improve it? Definitely. The short size of the tool puts the pointed, sharp tail end right in the middle of your palm. That makes for some lack of comfort after many cases and all the rubbing of the sharp metal on your skin is not that pleasant. There could be three solutions to this: first, make the tool longer to avoid chafing palms, two, they could sell it with an adapter handle that will make it the same size as a Lyman (that ergonomic plastic handle feels good in hand), or, three, they could sell it along with a rubber or silicone cap that could slip over the points and make your hand feel better. With the help of a power adapter, it can be attached to a drill and it could really fly through your brass work. Overall, it is still my best working tool of the four that I have tried.

Love the way this thing chamfers the neck mouths, it has a perfect angle to put the necessary chamfer. The best I've used, and even better with the P.H. power tool adapter.
