This is a great product ...

This is a great product and a big improvement over the std. charging handle latch. It's easy to manipulate with gloves and provides a positive grip. I think this design is superior to others because you cannot torque the latch with relation to the handle damaging the roll pin or rendering the charging handle inoperable. These latches are very tough and use them on all my ARs.

Not too big or aggressive; but big enough to get around the scopes on an Armalite Ar10. I really like these better than the tall/flat serrated versions.

I bought this and shelved it for maybe six months. When I got it out to install it, I was disappointed that it didn't appear as though it was going to increase the grasping area of my charging handle as much as I would have liked, but once I installed it I was very, very pleased at how it reduced the sharp edges and decreased the fatigue you'll get after longer periods of testing your rifle's action or long days of shooting at the range; it really made a big difference and I wished I had installed this sooner. I found it to be a bit tricky to install as well until it occurred to me to hold the roll pin using some needle nose pliars while tapping it with a hammer (while the charging handle sits flat on a table).

Adds useful grip surface to the latch without sticking out and catching on everything (clothing, branches, etc.) the way the larger tac-latches do.

As the other reviews have stated, this latch makes pulling the charging handle back considerably easier, without being so big that it pokes you or gets caught on clothes. A solid product and a great little addition to ARs - so much so that it is ridiculous that it, or something very similar, isn't the standard. I can't think of a single reason why anyone would prefer the stock latch over this one.

I thought I would not like this latch when I saw it in the package since it isn't much larger than the stock one but I decided to give it a try and I love it. It's large enough that my scope doesn't seem to be in the way anymore but small enough that it isn't in the way.
