Bedrock is formulated using the latest technology and is ideal for wood, laminated and synthetic stocks. The viscosity of Bedrock can be changed by adding Microballoons, and it is easily dyed to match the color of the stock.

Most detailed instructions I have seen for glass bedding.Everything is included, including surgical tubing, which is a real plus.Great working time. Didn't need to hurry.Versatile. Used it to glue cracks, fill knicks and glass bed. The Microballoons allow you to make it thicker, which is good for bedding.Twenty one students used Bedrock in a Gunsmithing Lab at MidwayUSA during 2nd Quarter 2004.Each student glass bedded a bolt action rifle and some of the students glued cracks and filled small nicks on the surface of the wood.I think this is the best glass bedding kit on the market.

The problem with this stuff is simple. It has way to much air and cracks way to easy. I used this on a Browning A- Bolt Stock that I just finished and I was not impressed. The supplies are great and the instructions are great if you are doing a Rem 700. There are no other instructions that can be found to do other rifles. I used is to the T with the directions and found it to be very easy but very airy. Too many bubbles.

Great Product

I used this to bed a Bell & Carlson stock for a custom built .243 Ackley. Worked like a champ, and the instructions were clear and told you everything you needed to know. My only objection is the mixing cups are too small for what I personally needed. If you're doing a wood stock, this won't be an issue, you'll probably be able to bed 2 or 3 rifles. If you're like me doing a composite stock or fiberglass, you'll use the entire kit and the mixing cups will be too small to mix it all in one batch. (Not that it's a big deal) as throw away paper or plastic containers work great. Also, since I had big gaps, I hit the local hobby lobby for some modeling clay as what came in the kit wasn't enough for the Bell & Carlson. Wood stocks again would be fine. Clay cost me $3.50, so again, not a big enough deal to bash this product. I'm actually going to buy a few more kits.

WAY TOO SOFT!

This kit is good for one thing, all the little parts that come with it. The rubber tubing, cototn swabs, etc. The compound itself is junk (WAY TOO SOFT). Get the kit for all the other parts that you need and then use JB Weld to actually bed the rifle.

A great product, ...

A great product, especially for beginners. Clear and complete instructions for the whole job with everything you need for a professional finish. I did a Rem 700 Sendero and a Howa 1500 and have enough material left for another rifle. My Howa went from .750" groups to .300" groups and I even shot one .100" group. It's solid enough to support a free floated 26" heavy barrel perfectly. I previously had accuracy problems with the Rem 700 torquing the action as I tightened the action bolts (even with the aluminum bedding block). This fixed that problem and it is now deadly accurate because the action is sitting perfectly solid in the stock and I can no longer make it torque regardless of bolt pressure. I'm ordering more. It is easy as long as you are patient and follow the instructions. A great product... my only issue was that it remained a little runny even after adding excessive micro-balloons so that I had to apply a second coat to one rifle to fill in the gaps along the magazine well where resin ran out before it hardened. I prefer a viscosity more like peanut butter and this was almost like cool honey because I was trying to save enough micro-balloons for three stocks. I will order more and do more rifles, using all the micro-balloons on the first rifle or two to see if I can avoid this. Release agent worked great... just tapped each rifle out. This kit is a real value and is one of greatest accuracy improvements available.

I picked this product up to bed some of my Remington 700's so that I could keep the classic look they had in their original wood stocks. Luckily the instructions specifically talked to the 700. The step by step instructions helped a lot and were easy to understand. By following the instructions, I was able to complete two rifles with no hang ups what so ever. This kit has everything you need to bed multiple rifles. The ease of using this product has motivated me to bed my Savages as well. I would buy this product again.

I found the kit to be less than expected for a pillar bedding job. After the relief milling was done, I mixed the entire contents of the kit's resin with hardener. I got into pouring the compound and realized halfway through that there was nowhere near enough to complete the job. While the product hardened well, the lack of quantity for a properly relieved stock was a disappointment.

This is a good kit for a beginner. It comes with everything you need except masking tape. However, I wouldn't recommend it for semi-auto rifles or hard recoiling rifles, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. The epoxy just doesn't seem to be tough enough for that kind of application. For those uses, I would go with Devcon Steel. On the plus side, this kit has excellent instructions and all the things you really need. With this kit, a lot of people who never even considered bedding their own rifle can get a start with very little hassle.

I may have had a bad batch I used this compound 3 times and it never got hard it acted like the compound had separated. Lot of hard work wasted.
