The NcStar Mark 3 Compact Tactical Rifle Scope is ideal for mounting on an AR-15. It is compact in size and loaded with features. The red or green illumination is great for low light shooting while the open target turrets make adjustments a breeze. Another great feature is the bullet drop compensator which is calibrated for the .223 cartridge with a 55 grain bullet. You will be hard pressed to find another scope with all of these great features in this price range. All NcStar optics are covered by a limited lifetime factory warranty.

Will Not Hold Zero

I gave this scope several trys. I would work for hours on the range trying to zero the
scope then took everything home and tightened all the screws and checked and cleaned the rifle and went back to the range with several factory loads. No Luck! The scope would not hold a 18 inch target at 50 yards. I switched to a cheep red dot scope and the group went to less than an inch and held.

Put this on a flattop AR ...

Put this on a flattop AR in 5.56 and it is a great bargain for the money. The reostat that controls the lighted reticle doesn't do much but you will never use it lit up anyway. Follow the instructions carfully, others on this review claim the mount sucks. Do what the instructions tell you as to how to tighten properly and it holds fine. Hold's zero well, great for shooting targets and critters.No "clicks" but turrets are easy to adjust and stay put, caps can be zeroed after sight in with an allen wrench.

Would not stay on target. Very poor quality mount and quick release. Tightened and even got new screws. Still didn't work. Would not recommend for anything more than a cool paper weight.

Fantastic value. Very clear optics for a low end scope, and the quick release functions very well on a flattop AR. Nice and compact. You need one of these.

It was a good scope with cool features but not that accurate. I had to tighten every screw on the scope in order to keep it from shifting on the gun. Then the quick release came loose and it's hard to really cinch it down because of the low quality screws (I was scared they would strip at any moment). I didn't give it 1 star because it does look good on the gun and the reticle was nice with the different lights. In the end you get what you pay for.
