50-Round 22 long rifle magazine fits Atchission/Ciener drop in conversion kits and dedicated AR-15 uppers. Also fits the Kel-Tec PLR-22 and Sig 552. The drum features a modular design with an interchangable feed tower, allowing it to be configured to function in most AR-15 rimfire conversions, the S&W M&P 15-22, or the Ruger 10/22 by installing the appropriate feed tower (AR-15 Rimfire Upper/Conversion Tower Included, Others Sold Separately). Polycarbonate PC construction withstands heat and wear for durability and long service life.

I purchased the drum mag ...

I purchased the drum mag for Sig 522. The magazine worked flawlessly, with zero malfunction. The magazine is very easy to load, thanks to the loading assist on the drum mag body itself. I plan on buying more for the Sig and my Ruger 10/22. Only negative comment I have is that it takes some force to insert the magazine into my Sig 522. I'm not sure if other rifles will have the same issue or not, but for the Sig 522, it is a very tight fit, and also requires more force to eject the magazine, compared to the typical Black Dog magazines.Overall, I am very satisfied. Can't wait to try out the Ruger 10/22 version of it.

I purchased three of the Black Dog 50-round drum magazines for use in my Sig 522 rifle. The quality of the construction is very high, but, I found that the drums had some drawbacks. First, I found that the drums were sometimes finicky when loading, with numerous hang-ups in the feeding channel. Second, the drums were not easy to unload, with the rounds jamming in the feeding channel and requiring numerous jolting to free them up. Third, compared to the 25-round straight magazines, the drums require a rather stiff "push" into the mag well of the rifle to enable the mag to catch. This concerned me because of the possibility of creating an unnatural wear on the mag catch mechanism in the mag well. My theory is if something has to be "forced", it's not good. Lastly, the drums come with extra "elastic bands" in case the installed ones break or wear out. They may last a long time, I don't know, but since they came supplied with extra bands, that may mean they break--again, not sure, but it makes me wonder how long they last. Long story short, I sent back the three drums and now have several of the standard 25-round Black Dog magazines. The 25-round magazines have high-quality construction and insert, catch, and can be removed from the rifle's mag well effortlessly. In summary, the drum magazines are a good idea and having 50 rounds between reloads is nice, but I feel the engineering on the drum has not yet been perfected.

Works with every 22lr ammo I've tried. Even the ultra cheap stuff. Add a slide stock to your AR and buzz through this drum like it's nothing. I didn't realize I was firing until I looked over at the brass casings flying to my right. I own more drums than the black dog mags. Why load 25 when you can load 60!

This 50 round drum is awesome. Easy to load, Cycles flawlessly, and looks slick on the rifle. It does add a slight bit of weight, but to fix that I'd say workout more.

have used this drum for about 500 rounds and could not be happier. I'm using in a rock river lower and a cmmg conversion kit with a dpms upper I built with the cmmg .22 barrel. It is easy to load with the thumb wheel and it drops free with the mag release and inserts just as easy like a regular ar mag. I had one failure due to a round that was a little out of spec in length and it jammed in the tower (I should have paid more attention when loading), was a bit tricky to unload from that failure. but runs like a champ and with the ease of loading, shooting .22 all day is a breeze!

I have been running cmmg mags with my cmmg .22 cal AR15 wasp and they jammed alot. I have ran over 500 rounds thru this drum and no jams at all. Another plus is the thumb guide on the back side for easy loading and easy on the thumbs. I am very happy with this product and will be buying a few more.

Built a dedicated upper with a CMMG stainless bolt and barrel kit, have a ceiner kit in another rifle and this mag runs perfect, was so amazed I ordered another! Also have the Black dog stick mags that work great but not as easy to load as this! Too much fun, wish they would come out with 100 round mag

Bought this drum mag for my DPMS 5.56 Sportical with the CMMG Blue .22 conversion kit.In less than a week I've gone through 3 boxes of 550 rds each. The drum works great and I leave lots of brass at the indoor range. Going to buy a 2nd one so my son can reload the empty one for me while I'm still shooting. One of the best mods you can do for some cheap fun at the range !!

Great product. Sig 522 worked flawless. 1500 rounds on first outing and no jams. Last round had issues with keeping the bolt open. This unit is very easy to load. Unable to give the 5 star due to the bolt not staying open on last round fired. Do not beleive Remington ammod had anything to do with it.

Total waste. Took it out today and gave it run. Never once would it feed all 50 rounds. The stick mags run 100% in my CMMG dedicated upper. This... does not. Id get about 10 rounds down range.... JAM.... clear....5 rounds.... JAM. Just buy the stick mags!

Use with my Ciener 22 conversion kit, works like a charm! Easy to load and no feed problems. Not to mention the looks people give when I bust out a drum mag at the range, haha! I may or may not buy another though, I was shooting so much with few stops to reload that my arms were getting tired! Highly recommend.
