Product Information

Since 1928, Prvi Partizan has been producing custom ammunition in Serbia for competition, indoor ranges and hunting. Full metal jacket loads are non-expanding rounds that were designed for target. This ammunition is new product, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

I have the MAS 36 the ...

I have the MAS 36 the ammo is sweet - light recoil, very little noise, and very accurate. Not a miss fire in the lot I had purchased, compaire to the 7.62 I am use to firing. Cost is very pocket friendly considering it is a "specialty" round{meaning not a common off the shelf purchase}

Safety issue with design ...

Safety issue with design flaw in ammunition. If used in MAS semi Automatics it can create a slam fire on firing or even on action closing. If you chamber a round it can fire from the closing of the action, then possibly continue firing for many rounds. All they need to do is use CCI 34 mil-spec primers. This is not a defect in the gun; it's a defect in designing ammunition for a very effective durable design. People out there are advocating altering the firing pin to use inferior ammunition - that is backwards. You should research and reload your own ammo to really do it right, keep the gun intact, and be safe and keep the solid positive firing characteristics of the fine MAS rifles. The privy stuff is fine on bolt actions, but they should put a warning on this ammo as it is dangerous when used in an MAS 49 series semi auto or any semi auto with the heavy floating firing pin.

Great ammo at a fairly ...

Great ammo at a fairly reasonable price! I have gone through five boxes of the Prvi Partizan 7.5x54 French in my MAS 49/56 and have no complaints. It is clean, cycles reliably, and I can manage 4-5 inch groups with open sights at 100 yards time and time again. Groups go to below 3 inches with a scope. I consider myself a better than average shooter but I am certainly no expert marksman. And my guess is that a better shooter would achieve slightly better results. It also seems to be the only commercial 7.5 French ammo that is readily available. Considering the price, I think it's a great bang for the buck.
