The RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center helps to make the tedious tasks of chamfering, deburring, primer pocket cleaning, military crimp removal and flash hole deburring quick and effortless. The five gear driven heads turn each tool so all the reloader has to do is hold the brass at the appropriate location until they are satisfied with the results. These accessories make the RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center a more versatile machine to meet many case prep requirements. Primer pocket uniformers are designed to ensure that primer pockets are cut to the correct SAAMI depth specifications, cleaning out built up carbon residue from previous firings and squaring the bottom of the primer pocket with respect to the case head. This step is important as variations in the seating depth of the primer can change how the firing pin strikes the primer producing inconsistent ignition.

Hundreds and hundreds of ...

Hundreds and hundreds of cases later and this tool is still going strong. I don't know the useful life of this cutter, but I haven't found it lacking yet.

RCBS is replacing my ...

RCBS is replacing my first bit since it dulled up badly on the first 200 cases I did. The first 100 or so were great but then it became harder and harder to cut out the crimp until finally it was pushing up a flange around the primer pocket. Perhaps I got a bad one but I find it interesting that hardened steel can go dull after cutting 200 brass crimps.

Absolutely a great tool ...

Absolutely a great tool to use with the case prep center. The only problem I had was the stud would stay threaded in the prep center. When I tightened it back in the body, it pushed the cutting head up. The case prep manual says it is preset at factory and not to reset the depth. Other than that, I highly recommend this.

A great addition to the ...

A great addition to the trim mate prep centers. Nearly effortlessly creates perfectly uniform primer pockets. You can definately feel the difference when seating primers after using this tool. It would be nice if it were included with the prep center but the extra investment is worth it.

The primer uniformer ...

The primer uniformer worked great in the RCBS prep center. I loaded some 30.06, 7mm-08 and .243. The primer seated like it was new brass. You will notice that some of the pocket's get cut out more around the flash hole than others and I thought that might be an issue but it wasn't. All the brass I primed was .003 to .004 deep from the head. Just make sure that the set screw is tight before you install it. The stud did stay threaded it the prep center but I didn't have a problem with the cutter depth thanks to the feedback before me.

Recently purchesed trim ...

Recently purchesed trim mate case prep center and this as well. Used it on 338-378 brass and after about 20 rounds I noticed large amounts of brass coming out. Checked the tool and found the stud to be turning and pushing the cutter head up. After measuring the primer pockets they were foud to be too deep. Brass for this rifle is not cheap. I would make sure the set screw is tight before using.
