One reviewer said that he used it in his drill. Like a dummy I did the same, I now have about 300 rounds of scrap 223 brass. I know this isn't the tools fault.... or so I thought. Threw the micrometer on it and it was ground to the wrong size. I get the same loose primer pockets when I use it by hand. I gave it 3 stars because I was able to salvage it using a dremel, with it chucked in the drill, and spinning to keep it true. Works like a charm now. Have not checked the large one yet so I can't comment on it.

What a handy tool I bought the package with the large and small primer tools did about 140 lake city brass for 3006 in about a hour will sit the primers at a later time and will see how they seat cant beat the price for the package. Highly recommend this item as always fast shipping from Midway.

Ingenious! Brilliant! And it costs chicken feed! Hold the empty casing gently with a pliers and by hand, twirl the cutting tool a few times in the crimped primer pocket. Chucking the casing or the tool in a drill jaws will probably overdo it and ruin your casing. As you twirl the tool, You will be able to see the crimp line vanish as the tool cuts away the crimp radius. The tool does not deepen or widen the entire pocket, but the tool bevels away the crimp ring. You can then seat a primer normally. I love this inexpensive and high quality product, but it is probably too slow for "mass production" if you have many dozens or hundreds of crimped casings to decrimp.

Great product. I bought this to decrimp a batch of LC brass I had purchased and it worked great. I don't bother using the supplied handle, however. Instead, I just toss the cutting bit into a drill and go to town on the cases. Haven't had any issues with primers not fitting or being loose. I definitely recommend this.

I use this product on reaming out the primer pockets on my military 30-06 casings and its excellent, the only thing is if your reaming a lot of casings, then it will wear out your hands.

A great cheap (price, not quality), functional tool for reaming out those pesky military crimped primer pockets. One word of caution: do NOT bottom out the tool in the primer pocket! It will be too large.

I make 8x57 Mauser blanks ...

I make 8x57 Mauser blanks from 30-06 cases. I use once fired military brass to reduce costs. The crimped in primers were a problem until this tool. As Mr. Peterson said don't run it in too deep. About two turns and the crimp is removed without altering the rest of the primer pocket plus it leaves a nice chamfer to aid in insertion of the new primer.

All I can say is "NICE" the cutters are very sharp and remove the crimp easily and the bonus is that you get both small and large cutters with this kit, The Knurled handle makes it easy to hold and turn, it will take about 2-3 turns to remove the crimp and your case is ready.
