I purchased this shellholder thinking it would be like the photo and snap into the ram of a standard press. But it is nothing like the photo. It is a shellholder that screws into the top of a reloading press like a die. The bottom is threaded just like a reloading die. It is not a snap in shell holder. I called Hornady and they said they don't make a shellholder for 50BMG that snaps into a standard press ram.

Good quality shellholder. ...

Good quality shellholder. Used this on my Redding Ultramag to load 50 BMG and 416 Barrett. Used Lee dies in each caliber and am able to get MOA accuracy out to 500 yds from my Barrett rifles. I also got the CH4D priming and primer pocket swager tool and the Lyman case trimmer. All work great!

One of its kind. No other maker offers a standard base shell holder for the fifty Fits any standard reloading press. I use mine on an RCBS rock chucker supreme single stage press to load 50 BMG and 416 Barrett. Remove the press bushing and use Lee 50 bmg or 416 dies (1-1/4 x 12 threads). You may have to insert the case into the die first before the case rim inserts into the shell holder - a minor issue. I've loaded 200 pcs 50bmg and 100 of 416 B no problems on my rock Chucker supreme. Very satisfied...

Product is what I ...

Product is what I expected. I intend to use it to aid in loading 12 gauge brass shells with rifled slugs. As such, I am making slight modifications to the shell holder to accommodate the slightly larger base of the 12 gauge brass case.
