DuraCoat Clear is an extremely versatile finish. Can be applied over DuraCoat colors, bluing, stainless, color case hardening, etc. Basically any surface of a firearm that needs protection can benefit. When applied over bluing it will put an end to rusting and pitting. Accumulation of oxidization, dirt and grime on stainless firearms is easily eliminated. Often times when multiple colors are used on one firearm there can be a sheen difference across the colors. This problem can be corrected by a coat of DuraCoat Clear. Needs to be applied with an airbrush, conventional automotive spray gun or a high volume low pressure (HVLP) system. Can be mixed to give a matte to high gloss finish.
Before DuraCoat is applied, firearm should be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly with a high quality degreaser.
DuraCoat Clear can be applied direclty over other DuraCoat colors to add protection to the finish.
When applied over bluing DuraCoat Clear will put an end to rusting and pitting.
DuraCoat can be applied on bare metals, plastics, synthetics, and wood.
DuraCoat has to be applied with an airbrush, conventional automotive spray gun, or an HVLP system.
Finish will be resistant to most lubricants, cutting oils, and bore solvents.
